The most serious Sam has been in a long time

At the time of this review, development on Dirty Bomb ended almost 2 years ago. Ever since then I've tried to quit this game, only to always come back a month or two later.
This is all because I can't find a game with better gunplay than this one. In short:
-Time to kill is HIGH so camping or being the first to fire isn't as effective
-Guns are ACCURATE so you can still mow down players if you can track heads
-Movement MATTERS so characters are fast and can do basic parkour through long jumping and wall jumping, which is easy to learn but hard to master

Combine all of this with the fact that matches are an attack/defend style with objectives to fight over and characters are split into traditional battlefield type roles of medic, support, assault, recon plus the rather unique objective specialist, and you get an amazingly fast paced and satisfying gameplay loop.

Sadly, there is a lot that disrupts this. Abilities that can spam a large area with explosives, players pre-firing near unavoidable one-shot rockets or grenades around corners, a heavy minigun character that has no place in this game, the lack of any match balancing. You wont find it every time or even most of the time, but when you do find a great server where the teams are balanced and there is little abuse of abilities, it's the best game ever.

Here's some more quick info to help you decide:
Playerbase is low but decent, and it's no problem if you're in the EU.
If you like 2 out of these 3 : TF2, Any CS, Any Battlefield.
TRY DIRTY BOMB!
If you like Overwatch.
Don't bother
If you like Fortnite.
Walk into traffic

And some quick tips if you do play:
Use the server browser.
Move while shooting.
Stay with your team and press Q and E.
If you like long range try to play on Chapel first.
If you like short range try Bridge instead.
Look online for Dirty Bomb long jumping tutorial.
