That unexplored area all the way at the other end of the map..

10/10 - Would backtrack 10,000 miles again.

Easily my favorite ARPG of all time.

Because of you I took a closer look at the game and started playing it. This game is awsome and it reminds me so much of the old mmorpg drakensang online days when that game was still good and not killed by the devs. Thank you very much!:lovely::FlashFreeze:

To compare D3 and GD in terms of depth and complexity - D3 is basic math, GD is advanced calculus. And that's a good thing. If you were looking for a better Titan Quest, then GD is the one to play. They are made by the same devs, and TQ is an ARPG, so that is a great starting point.

I never played any of the Diablo titles in the past but I have heard nothing but great reviews about them, is Diablo a better starting point? If Diablo III is the more polished experience with a lot more content, I may play that before starting Grim Dawn to become acquainted with the genre.

I recently started playing Titan Quest, I was looking for similar games with a more modern interface and Grim Dawn seemed to fit the bill in that regard. I have tried a few CRPG titles in the past, Divinity and Shadowrun but I'm not a fan of the turn based combat and I tend to lose interest in them after a while.

@Synth3D - I have been meaning to rewrite this entire review, as Grim Dawn has improved in every regard since I wrote it. Performance is no longer an issue. The 2 new classes weren't free after all, but the dlc that adds them is fairly priced for such a huge expansion.
You never played any Diablo games? What about CRPG games? ARPG is something like CRPG, but with a focus on combat and loot rather than lore and talking. GD is a super addictive fun time, with so many different options for character builds. The skills and abilities are all a blast to play.
I intend to change this review to say that it is indeed my favorite ARPG of all time.

Appreciate the review, I'll buy this in the Autumn sale. I don't have experience with ARPG games but the lovecraftian inspired theme is attractive.

In light of recent updates I have edited this review. Happy to see the continued support from the devs and excited for the new builds in 2017! :tq_hpot::loot:
