I like world of warships.

What i don"t like is that i"m not allowed to use my OG account with the steam version for little to no Explainable reason other than the devs are either too lazy to implement it, or they"re getting money for not doing it, pair this with its out dated server region system makes the user feel extremely neglected indeed.

These are completely outdated systems and have no real reason to be in the game anymore past their own greed.

Despite this, the game seems to survive only because its the only one of its kind currently on the market, like world of tanks and world of warships got replaced with warthunder, unless the Devs can stop their greedy nature this game will die as soon as a better alternative comes along and that is a shame,

The gameplay is fun and engaging, no two matches are the same, but its let down again by the Devs and their out dated view and their greed. im forced to give the game a 4/10 because of this, if they fix these stupid issues, it can easily be a 9/10.

Hi Admiral Nyano, thanks for sharing your review and feedback.
Unfortunately, we can not do this. World of Warships wasn’t initially designed as a cross-platform project. That means that if you"ve played the game already you would need to keep using the original client. If you log in using Steam, you automatically create a new game account, which binds to your Steam account.

Currently, it"s not possible to implement one single server for all. Good internet is still a must, but not as good as one may need in fast shooters. The gameplay is not fast so even stable ping around 100 may look comfortable. But when we take regions, it"s impossible to reach this number currently. We"ll see if anything changes in the future, but at the moment we don"t have any such plans.

It is not clear what kind of greed we are talking about, because one can easily play the game for free.
It"s counted that every year if one takes part in celebrations, game events, missions, activities, there is more than a month of premium account shared for free in the game. One may also find some days in free daily containers, daily shipments, or as a reward for some significant dates in the project of during a year, etc. excluded a lot of other stuff for free.
We also have some events during a year where one may get premium ships for free, like VI Admiral Graf Spee, or with a great discount up to 90% VIII Odin. This activity is almost over https://steamcommunity.com/games/552990/announcements/detail/2221910726164900984 Dockyard will be available for only 4 days from today, but one may wait for the next one.

Hope that clarifies your concerns.
Regards,

What I know is back then, people were able to just make the game act like a normal client forWorld of Warships like the Wargaming Center one by deleting or modifying the steam_api.dll, and later on, the steam_api64.dll. This shows that it is actually Wargaming forcing the steam account usage thing, not that it is not possible at all and crossplay. The data files are actually nearly identical to the Wargaming Center data, so you should be able to add your account if you desire, at least before steam updates made it so hard that you have to modify a lot of files to do it nowadays.

Basically, it"s forcing an inconvenience on people. Not everyone cares about implementing the steam payments and other steam related features, and trading cards automatically drop by playing, so that one is not a concern. People just want to add their account to the game, nothing else. Players who used the workaround never complained that they couldn"t use steam features, so why would they complain now?

@ I think your on Drugs , Do you know how much time you need to invest to get anything free in this game?.

Its all a smokescreen from the Devs they are greedy more greedy than ive seen from other games , They sell loot-boxes which thank goodness will soon be banned they make sure you make no money higher up the tiers unless you sub , Their premium ships are disgustingly overpriced £90 for a pixel ship are you kidding me.

Don"t you dare come on the reviews and state you not greedy WG is by far one of the most Greedy Companies i know of in the industry you make PARADOX look like cheapskates.

I have tested it in numerous battles and even if I literally come in first place, I earn less in a Tier 7 ship than I would from a mediocre performance in a Tier 6 ship... even WITH premium I earn less at Tier 7 than at Tier 6 WITHOUT premium. The design of the economy to be less rewarding (or unrewarding) at higher tiers is a fact.

On a related note, did you know that you can BUY bundles of credits that cost more than $100?

I wonder if these two facts are connected somehow...
