One of the first major SCP games on steam and it did not disappoint, it was an excellent collection of short SCP story's that kept me enthralled throughout, I was so addicted that i played from the start to the Finnish in one sitting. I absolutely recommend this to any SCP fan.

Very exited for whatever this team have in store for us.

I since posted a view of war thunder complaining about the balancing and economy issues, and i am pleased to say that Gaijin have really managed to turn the game around in the recent months, the situation has improved and i am once again having a lot of fun playing this game. While its not perfect, i believe that the devs have followed through on the promises they've made so far, and believe the situation will continue to improve.

I have left my original review attached to the bottom of this an an indication of how much has changed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me get this started by saying that I have a lot of fun with Warthunder, it's my most played game by far, and i’ve had plenty of great experiences with it that i do not regret.

However, this relationship is best described as an abusive relationship, i am somehow still here despite Gaijin seemingly doing its best to run me off, and i slowly find myself having less and less fun with the game as time goes on and i unlock more things.

War Thunder has become more and more of a cash cow as time has gone on, and it countries to become more apparent that Gaijin cares very little for its playerbase, rewards continue to get smaller and the grind continues to get longer as we go further up the tree, to the point that it is completely impossible without premium.

And even with premium, you are often unable to gain enough silver lions to support high tier gameplay, this is completely unacceptable.

Then there’s the terrible and obvious bias against allied vehicles, with tanks such as the Challenger 2, M1 Abrams and the Type 90 suffering from massive armour holes such as the turret rings on the latter two, and the tracks and the breech on the Challenger.

The Type 90 and the Abrams are forced to grind through a HEAT-FS shell that simply does not work, while everyone else gets APFSDS shells for free, the Abrams and the Challenger are also forced to use inferior ammunition, while the Italian tank gets its modern ammo.

Bias like this is very frequent through the Allied tech tree, either because they have a smaller playerbase, or because gaijin personally bias against the allies from being purposely placed at poor BR’s, or having their weapons nerfed like the Hispano’s to the point of uselessness.

Then there’s the premium aspect of the game, firstfully, despite paying for premium, many players still struggle to make silver lions, this should just not be a thing, we’re paying to assist our economy gain, and the grind is still terrible, this is not fair, is just a very rude attempt at pushing the playerbase to spend even more money.

Premium aircraft are another terrible thing, with premium jets spam being an unfortunate regular occurrence, for example the british hunter, that's as good as the one in the main tree, with longer range missiles, only its a lower BR, and gets to face aircraft that are simply inferior to it for the simple reason that you had to pay for it, players often gain a massive advantage when using premiums on the battlefield, until they are no longer profitable for Gaijin, where they will nerf them, such as the case of the Black prince.

So in conclusion, this is a good game premius, handled poorly by greedy, selfish, and bias game developers, who seem to forcefully make the user experience terrible for anyone who doesn't want to play russia or Germany, or spend too much money, and that is a shame.

I like world of warships.

What i don't like is that i'm not allowed to use my OG account with the steam version for little to no Explainable reason other than the devs are either too lazy to implement it, or they're getting money for not doing it, pair this with its out dated server region system makes the user feel extremely neglected indeed.

These are completely outdated systems and have no real reason to be in the game anymore past their own greed.

Despite this, the game seems to survive only because its the only one of its kind currently on the market, like world of tanks and world of warships got replaced with warthunder, unless the Devs can stop their greedy nature this game will die as soon as a better alternative comes along and that is a shame,

The gameplay is fun and engaging, no two matches are the same, but its let down again by the Devs and their out dated view and their greed. im forced to give the game a 4/10 because of this, if they fix these stupid issues, it can easily be a 9/10.
