Clever little turn based roguelike strategy game. Runs great on the deck with some control tweaks

TLDR; 7/10 game is decent with some neat innovations as an open world game. Travel and inventory management is very streamlined. Feels like it respects you as a player. Would give it an 8 if we could skip merlin trial victory scene, you could tick items and "sell all", and lockpicking minigame is deleted.

Some of the tedious parts first (in order of descending frustration):
- Merlin Trials. They're neat little self contained puzzles scattered around the world, but why am I forced to watch the same 5 second cut scene every time I solve one. Thankfully you only need to find half to get all the rewards.
- Alohomora. I think it should be acquired sooner, and lock picking minigames in general are okay the first 5 times, but quickly become tedious for the next 100...
- Selling things. It doesn't need to be a one second hold to sell things when I have 30 things I need to individually sell.
- Combat. Much more enjoyable when you can avada kedavra. Harder enemies just feel like health sponges after a while. It's also very much set up for controllers, and at some points felt like the control scheme for kb/mouse was a bitter hurdle than the game - but not the end of the world.
- Crashed semi regularly (some times every 2 hours, some times not at all for the entire night, dunno why)
- Questing can involve a lot of loading screens.
- Revelio

The good parts.
- Combat is a unique take. (its good and bad), mixing in controlling/shield breaking as the main points. (
- Traversal of the area is good. You get plenty of options early.
- Gear is very simple. Visuals are unlocked on pick up, and free to transmog other gear as you please. Gear has one stat (two if you upgrade, and can have some secondary buffs) making it very easy to say one is better than another. The worst part is the selling/destroying process.
- The crafting/decorating/life sim elements are a nice touch, and quite accessible if you want to go full immersion, also very tangential, and not at all necessary for progression.
- Plenty of collectables if you like that, and the main reward is often given much earlier than 100% collection if you don't.
- Writing is solid. (although the end of Sebastian's arc was a bit of a flop for me). Its a little slow to start while it establishes itself, but when the ball gets rolling things actually happen. Threats are followed through quickly like plot point, rather than some nebulous 10hr story arc that will happen after protagonist has spent 3 months prepping. Dialogue is very British, for better or for worse. (Just be aware that right click is skip dialogue. I don't care about exchanging pleasantries with EVERYONE)
- The main story doesn't force to you explore everything, so you still get left with some sand boxing/exploration available at the end with all your powers.

A very charming lil game. The dialogue and interactions are very cute. It's basically a bite sized katamari game. Finished it in about 1.5hours, spent another hour getting the rest of the achievements.

I very much recommend this game, however I would very much recommend getting it on sale. Full price is a bit much for the amount of content.

The game itself is based on a solid concept, but it doesn't seem to reach its potential. It very much feels abandoned and half finished, despite leaving early access and the main menu notice saying otherwise. Its about as janky as the first game, but where I could accept it as a clunky homemade charm the first time, the second time feels kind of lazy.

There's definitely more IN this game than the first, but that just seems to give more opportunity to miss the mark.

Combat is functional and very basic. The dialog menu's are a little unintuitive, but its not entirely problematic given there isn't much of it. The quests seem somewhat basic and don't seem worthwhile beyond unlocking purchase orders and progressing other quest lines. The achievements are occasionally linked to a bugged aspect, or are directly bugged themselves (I as a client on the server did not get any money or thief achievements while the host did), while the crafting recipes not working was much more common (none of the crab recipes were useable for either of us).

The shop management is relatively good which is the backbone of the game. Although, the wall decorations seem to be misaligned on where they snap to making some of the walls themselves block placement. The "gather" function on the bot's did nothing, which is fine unless you want to leave your self-sufficient shop since stolen items end up on the floor and de-spawn anyway. The second floor upgrade also put stairs where I had furniture, so the furniture and sale items just disappeared which kinda feels bad.

Apart from the gameplay, the game crashed multiple times for my host. There is also remnants of a loot box system which I'm not sure what the devs where expecting to become when the game itself is worthless than most loot box micro-transactions.

Overall I enjoyed playing for similar reasons to the first game, and the game is fine, but I can't recommend it at full price since you it doesn't feel like you get a full game.

Short and sweet. It's quite short (about 10 puzzle levels and a boss fight), but very charming and free!

You can easily skip levels if you just want to see the sharply dressed demon girls, but there are guides that'll get you there easy enough anyway.

Highly recommend if you have a spare hour or so.
