It's bland and boring until you have to slide down a hill while jumping over thorn bushes. Once you get to that part, it becomes literally impossible because the gnome doesn't jump far enough to clear the second bush. According to other reviewers, you can get past this area by replacing your new monitor with an old one. What a #$@% joke. Steam should do the right thing and remove this crap from their store.

Design assembly lines in different ways to maximize different criteria. It's fun!

A solid few hours of fun. The pinball and RPG elements are not very strong on their own, but they combine into something unique and interesting.

There just isn't enough here for it to be worth recommending. It's not really a game, it's not very scary, it doesn't make much sense.

Great free game. Controls and gameplay are good, satisfying combat, endearing characters. Recommend to all.

I've never played the original Bayonetta, but I'm under the impression that it's a game where you fire a maximum of two bullets against invulnerable enemies before they kill you with one hit. Also, you can't walk, and if you push the L2 button, the game quits to desktop.

I get that this is supposed to be an April Fools joke, but "look at what garbage our company makes" isn't the kind of joke that Sega should be telling. You're supposed to make an ass out of other people, not yourselves. Unless, of course, I'm the idiot for expecting something fun from them. In that case, they've fooled me once, but they won't do it next time. Good thing the lesson was a free one.

-Gameplay-

It's kind of like Super Meat Boy except shorter, easier, and without the frantic moments or the badass feel. In other words, you'll be cursing in frustration while you struggle through a tedious section, only to sigh with relief upon clearing it instead of feeling like you did something awesome. Difficulty goes up and down from one level to the next.

-Style-

High res graphics are nice, hand drawn art style is pleasant, music is unobtrusively generic. The player character is cutesy, sometimes annoyingly so. Aside from the squeaky voice work, it's aesthetically enjoyable.

-Overall-

If you're looking for a free side scroller on the PC, I'd recommend Cave Story or Khimera over this one any day. They don't look or sound as sharp as Drop Alive, but they're much more fun, creatively nuanced, story driven, immersive, memorable, etc. The fact that either one of them is free amazes me. Drop, on the other hand, feels exactly like freeware/shovelware. Not a turd, but not a gem by any means.

It starts off easy, but by the end, it becomes quite challenging. Tough sections sometimes come unexpectedly and you've got to develop a new technique on the spot to get through. Lots of checkpoints, though, so it's not super frustrating.

The game takes just a few hours, which for me is kind of nice. You can replay levels to get faster times on the leaderboards.

Art looks really nice. It's a welcome break from all those chunky pixel games.

I got this as part of a bundle stars bundle, and I'm happy with what I got for the price, but I don't think I'd want to pay 15 bucks for it. If you see it in a bundle for cheap, you should grab it.

Lots of fun to play with friends, but the community is super unhelpful if you try to do VS matchmaking. There's no way to learn how to play as zombies when you get kicked out after about a minute or two with nobody even telling you what you did wrong. Hardly any of them even use microphones, so even if you're willing to accept advice, chances are that you won't receive any.

Campaign mode doesn't suffer from the toxic environment, but it also has a lot less fun potential.

I'd recommend L4D2 only if you've got at least three friends that you know will join you for games, and only if it's on sale. For most people most of the time, though, I think that would be a no.

So you drive a car through tight spaces and you're not allowed to bump into things. 20 levels in the demo, most of which are pretty easy. Only one song, but it's nice and relaxing blues guitar, so it doesn't get annoying. DS4 controller not supported.

I'd recommend this demo to anyone with 30 spare minutes who enjoys a moderate challenge. It would be more fun if it had a timer, but even without one, it's not bad.
