I really appreciate the sort of creative vision it took to relaunch one of the best sci fi series of games on one of the worst launchers in the universe, But they impressed me the most when they moved it from one of the worst to the literal worst launcher ever and broke the game to the point that i couldn't even launch it anymore.

Sarcasm aside dont buy this, It's truly atrocious that pirates get objectively superior products than paying customers to the degree that is happening here.

Edit: Every system around the core gameplay loop is still bad, And crafting still hasn't been fully implented despite fatshark saying it would be delivered in december.

Community is insular and tiny, Developers give themselves free effectively infinite ingame currency. Dont expect to be taken under the wing of anyone either, If you want to play this game you're jumping feet first into a toxic community.

I saw Snarks at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

This is going to be my first steam review and english isnt my first language to apologies for that, Nevertheless, I got this game when it first came out, So late 2013 i believe, And i've logged quite a few hours into it since then. I'm going to be honest this game has problems and it has had for a long time primarily a fanbase that coddles the developers and is willing to excuse any mistake they make, For over a year dayz has been running the warlords of draenor '2 patches a year' release schedule, I dont have to explain that as a result of this horrendously slow developement the game has suffered intensely as it should, Right now the game is buggy, The loot economy doesnt work very well and neither does anything else really, Milestones set as far back as 2015 have yet to be reached, There are several systems released years ago that only have very rudimentary functions at the moment.

Now, Thats not to say that it is not possible that what bohemia is saying about having to create the new engine isnt true, BUT if that is true this game was released to EA too early, If you're interested in Dayz keep your eye on it occasionally as it enters beta, If their claim about having to put much of their resources into the engine we'll see faster patches and hopefully more content, If not then this is not something i recommend, and i do NOT recommend to purchase it as it is now.
