Early Access Review
A solid roguelike with a good bit of content, it is still currently in early access as of this review but I've put 25 hours in so far and have not yet unlocked all the available classes (I've got about 2/3 of them so far). You start off with limited options when you first start but as you progress you unlock new classes as well as meta progression such as the skill tree, difficulty options for your run and starting items.
Within a run your main progression is gear and upgrading your stats which gives you a new passive each time you level, and there are also armor sets (with set bonuses) as well as the option to upgrade weapons and get other temporary or permenent buffs via events or shops in each run.
All in all, it's a solid game within the genre and I've had fun with it.

This is an interesting game that tries to do a lot of new things, most of which work. First of all this can be best described as an isometric rpg with souls-like combat. What I mean by that is that combat involves dodge, block and perfect parry mechanics as well as the ability to break the enemy's posture/defense and leave them vulnerable, so it's far more skill based than most ARPGs where you just build up stats and facetank enemies or spam skills from range. Weapons also have different characteristics, dual daggers is very fast attacking and doesn't drain stamina much but has far less stagger, while halberds have long reach and their heavy attacks can stagger enemies in just a couple hits, but will drain your stamina really fast.

The other thing this game does that is new is the leveling system, you don't actually gain experience in this game, you level up after completing fighting areas (this game's equivalent of dungeons). These are ranked on difficulty and spread between the game's 4 regions, if you complete one you level up and get a mix of stat, trait, perk and skill points you can then allocate to level up your character. So you can farm enemies in the open world all day, and complete as many quests as you want, but those will only give gold and loot, not level ups (granted, loot is a very strong determiner in your overall power level as well).

Finally, there are a variety of skills and perks you can choose from, I'd say melee is the most fleshed out but there is a good number of magic spells, some which have limited numbers of use per combat, others which have a stamina/cooldown that limits them. These include a variety of melee skills like charges and rogue blink backstab attacks, to magic attack spells, buffs and summons. Your gear determines how often you can use spells as light robes and magic staves improves their effectiveness while heavier armor and weapons lengthen's the cooldown, meaning you can still use them but far less often. There is also bows/throwing daggers for ranged combat but that has the fewest skills asociated with it (it is pretty effective though).

There are companions you can get, they are restricted based on your alignment, personally I prefer the good companions as one of them has an area effect healing spell which is fantastic to use in between enemy groups as you are limited on how many potions/consumables you can bring into a fight, and all healing spells have limited number of uses in a fight. So having an extra heal, that you can even use at the end of the fighting area to top off your health before leaving is really a good quality of life thing, at least for your initial run when you are learning the game.

Finally, I will say there has been a lot of effort put into this game from a relatively small team, the art and environments is very good, the combat generally feels good although it can definitely be hard to get a handle on at first, and there is even a competitive mode where there are other rival champions also trying to reach the same goal as you, but they will also complete quests and fighting areas themselves (denying you their rewards, even the level up rewards) so I would NOT recommend it for a first run, only something to challenge yourself if you finish a single player run and want a more hardcore experience. I think the game is worth trying out, although whether it's worth the price point is up to you, perhaps wait for a sale if you think it's a bit pricey.

A fun autobattler, where you play on a single map rather than separate roguelike runs. As you explore the map you get resources that you can use to upgrade the areas you have explored and completed that give you persistent buffs and upgrades across runs which is the metaprogression. These upgrades are mostly passive stat buffs but there are also unlockable classes, extra items available in stores and upgrading the rarity of your starting heroes.

Heroes come in 3 rarities and this matters a LOT, not only do they have higher stats at better rarities, they get extra class tags (healer, elemental, area of effect etc). Each hero has combo skills that will become active if other heroes in the party have the required tags, these combo abilities can have very powerful effects, such as making a ranged ability fire an additional projectile when it activates. So a common rarity hero will have only 1 tag, while epic heroes will have 3, meaning far more options when it comes to activating combo skills. You cannot upgrade hero's rarity, so it's a mix of luck as well as saving your money to reroll when given a hero selection to try and get a better selection. That said, it is fun experimenting with different hero combos, and items can also affect gameplay in a big way. for example there is an item which heals the team anytime a team member gets a crit, so I built a crit team that just ignored having a healer and just went full offense while relying on this item to keep the team alive.

All in all, the game is quite fun, it was extremely difficulty/grindy when it first launched but they just released a balance patch that made the game much easier (maybe a little too easy), allowing me to push through until the end rather quickly without worrying about upgrades after a certain point. That said, I enjoyed my time with the game, and I did get it on sale so it was worth the cost of entry to me.

A solid auto-battle game with PvE and PvP options, although they are pretty similar. There are 4 factions with 6 different classes within each faction and you get bonuses for having multiple of the same faction or class, although you can get items that make a character count as different races/classes to get those bonuses. Gear is pretty well done as you combine different pieces together to get different gear effects and you can break these back down with no penalty in between rounds if you want to switch up your build.

PvE has you going through dungeons, if you fail there is no penalty, you just get partial rewards and then try and upgrade your team to try again, it can be quite grindy if you hit a wall and just don't have a team strong enough to overcome the current dungeon. PvP is draft mode with restrictions on certain classes (for example no mages and clerics) where you put a team together from scratch and are put up against teams submitted by other players. As this is an auto-battle game they don't actually control their troops but neither do you beyond your initial placement. You also get gold from PvP to spend on your PvE progression so they are somewhat connected in that way.

All in all I've mainly been enjoying the PvP as it doesn't require any grinding to slowly build up your team, you just put together a new team for each set of matches you enter and I personally find that more fun, plus you get to see what builds other players are using. This doesn't have quite as much depth or variety as some other auto battlers and You will likely see all there is to see within a few hours of playing but if the gameplay loop clicks with you it can be quite enjoyable and I personally got my money's worth out of it.

A fun little auto-battle roguelike, where the focus is traveling map collecting resources and new minions to build up your army and then defeat the boss at the end. It uses a deck mechanic as far as organizing your troops but once on the battlefield they act as independent units. There is a good variety of troops and enemies, with each zone you play through introducing new enemies. Each zone you enter resets your deck so there is no point in completely clearing a zone as your deck will reset after beating the boss.

There is a bit of meta progression, whenever you beat any of the bosses (there are also mini-bosses you can encounter on each map) you get some currency that can be used to unlock new cards that do last across all zones and games. However you still need to collect or craft these cards so the meta progression just opens up more options rather than outright making you stronger.

All in all it's quite fun, it took me 6 hours to beat the campaign on normal mode, but there are still cards I have not unlocked and there are 2 more harder difficulties you can play through that you unlock. The game is very inexpensive, I got it on sale for less than $3 so it's definitely worth a buy at that price.

This is a very odd game, but quite fun once you get into it. It seems very small scale at first but you place down map tiles which expand the map and you go from one small village to having multiple sects, towns and various adventure areas to explore. The world does feel alive, as while animals will not move from their zones, characters will, they will gather resources, build new homes, fight each other etc.

Note that for English speakers, this game will have a bunch of gameplay mechanics that can be very confusing, not helped by the fact that most of the translations in the game seem to be machine translated and so the explanations for these systems are even harder to understand. For example there is the combat, which involves comboing moves together based on what skills you pick, but these are affected by gear, the level of your skills, whether you have allies or not etc. There is also verbal combat which is a completely different system of mechanics, as well as many stats and skills to keep track of. There are whole menus of information that I didn't find until I was like a dozen hours in. Also, dying is part of the gameplay, as you play you'll unlock various skills and traits that you can take on your next character and they'll enter the same world you were in previously, sometimes starting even stronger than the previous character you played, you can even loot all the items your previous character had.

The game is incredibly fun once you get into it and finally figure out how things work, although you'll likely have to ask within the forums for help on understanding various game concepts. While a bit difficult and frustrating to learn at first I've been playing this game in most of my off hours this past week. There is definitely quite a lot of jank present but everything from how the world expands, to how the combat works is quite refreshing when so many games feel the same in gameplay these days. If you're willing to get past the steep learning curve and bad translations you can have a lot of fun with this.

A fun post apocolyptic open world caravan type game. You only control one truck but it feels similar to other caravan type games like Vagrus in how you move your group around the map doing deliveries, trading or taking missions. There are some story quests in game as well as a number of small side quests in the world but you don't need to do any of them, the world is open and you can go anywhere you want providing you are able to. You can also take over towns and manage them or support a faction and have them take over.

There is a good deal of customization, characters have skills that let them pass skill checks or do well in combat, there are also traits with positive and negative effects, gear that helps in both combat and non combat situations and a lot of upgrades for your truck. You can even modify or get new trailers for your truck if you prefer a certain playstyle, for example if you want to do combat over deliveries you can expand your truck's passenger capacity while reducing its cargo capacity. Combat is turn based and relatively simple, it mostly is dependent on your crew's skill and gear rather than tactics, preparation for combat is more important than actual control during the fight.

While the game is in 1.0 there are a few features that are not yet in game, there are currently 2 world maps based on game difficulty, there is a 3rd one shown but it is not yet available. There is also going to be a way to build roads in game (which would be a big deal considering the rough terrain in some areas) but that is an upcoming feature. That said, the game is still very enjoyable, I've been playing it quite a bit in my free time during the last week and it's definitely worth the price of entry if you enjoy this genre of games.

A fun roguelike where the big selling point is combining spells together to get different effects. There are is a good variety of spells to work with and you can get some truely broken combinations working, it's generally accepted that the best combos can possibly end up crashing the game since there are so many effects on screen.
Aside from spells, there is a good variety of enemies, and they do get additional abilities the higher difficulty you go and not just more health and damage. There are also different classes/outfits that you can earn through various achievements that give you different playstyles to work with. For example one increases how fast you stack poison, another one gets more wands (what you use to store your spells) but can't control them manually. All in all this game is good fun, I stuck with it until I beat the hardest difficulty and the secret boss at the end and was happy with my purchase.

Thumbs up to the devs for a quick response to an issue I had. I had just purchased the game and had a hardware incompatability issue, causing the game clock to accelerate by a huge amount and crash the game. I brought up the issue and the devs added another option to the settings menu to have the game track time separately from my computer which fixed the problem. Happy to see such a quick response to such a specific problem that only I seemed to be having, so giving a positive review just based on that.

I wanted to keep this review brief and spoiler free as honestly, you should go into this game blind for your first run and just try out new things. Also, no matter what choices you pick or the outcome, keep going, you'll always have the option to do things over again in another run but seeing your first run through till you hit the ending credits is a special experience.
The game has excellent writing and voice acting, it is quite short, you can do a full run in just a couple of hours but there are a lot of choices to pick from. They devs also just released an update that added some new options to various routes. I highly enjoyed my time with it although I don't know if I'll be exploring every route as I really enjoyed my first one.
