really scary by yourself.
with friends still scary but pretty funny when they fall into a bottomless pit.
takes up very little space, its cheap, still gets lots of love and i have no doubt that it will age well unlike games trying to be super realistic.
unique yet simple game play loop, even in the early access.

A banger a decade later, this was my first introduction to valve's singleplayer titles and while knowing the history of how it was rushed, I came in with low expectations; but after playing through the main story besides the added content after release. I kept thinking how much I enjoyed the puzzle aspect and how well it worked to immerse me in the game, i really felt stuck and wanted to find the bad guys. The cinematic were pretty good for the time and the pacing was done very well. The only thing I wish is more content and maybe a bit more polish such as refining the movement to be smoother but besides that everything felt great. Solid experience, i would recommend this to people who enjoy the counter strike series and are willing to put aside some of the judgement.

funny sounds

I started this game 7 years ago, back when I had just started high school, i was unable to get past the levels. I now returned amidst many life paths and have come back to finish the game and it was an amazing one. The story is fantastic, the visuals are just like a storybook. The music is amazing and the voice acting for this game was beautifully done, it really tugged on my heart strings.

Gameplay: Puzzle Platforming (emphasis on the puzzles), i found myself getting lost at times so it might have been nice to have a map but it did seek in the early levels to give a sense of wonder and amazement for the world.

I got a virus from playing the official servers, after a hacker downloaded a RCE to my comptuer. Would not play again without a patch... how is this allowed???

Needs a bit more polish, cannot recommend in its current state. I see the potential, and wish the dev luck on future games or polishing this one.

-could use a bit more levels to transition to teach the player different mechanics, felt like i was just shoved in straight into the levels
