The scope of this game is huge, even intimidating. The map is absolutely massive without feeling empty. The gameplay is fun and rewarding but like any Dark Souls game it is super easy to die and you will die a LOT in the beginning until you level up a bit, and even then.. yeah death happens a lot, but overcoming that challenge is far more rewarding than other games that hold your hand. It might take 70 tries to beat a boss but when you finally do you feel an incredible amount of satisfaction. The graphics are gorgeous, I find myself constantly stopping to appreciate the scenery. This game seriously needs a photo mode. This game is well worth the $60, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it immediately if you are considering doing so, there's so much content here, even after playing for 100s of hours I'm still finding new stuff. I also highly recommend using Fextralife's Interactive map for the game, makes a big difference and helps immensely with finding stuff you need. Seriously, get this game, there's something for everyone and many different play styles are supported. Want to hack and slash? Got you. Want to be a sorcerer? Covered, and with a ♥♥♥♥ ton of spells. Pyromancy? Oh you know it. And there's still even DLC coming out and I feel like I've just barely scratched the surface. You absolutely will not regret getting this game, it is amazing, just be ready for a serious challenge, this game has no difficulty settings, it's just set to max and that's it haha. However, because this is nowhere near as linear as a Dark Souls game you have a lot more freedom to choose your battles. In DS if a boss is too hard that sucks, you just have to keep trying until you finally and painstakingly win. But in ER if a boss is too hard you can go do something else and level up more and come back later. The enemy's difficulty doesn't appear to scale with your level so all enemies get easier to kill as you level up. So do yourself a favor and pick up one of the greatest games ever made and prepare to have a blast, few new games I find are truly worth paying $60 for and I always wait for titles I'm interested in to go on sale. I had downloaded a cracked version of the game to try before I buy because I didn't know if I would like it and I was so taken aback by this game I had to buy it immediately and support the devs' hard work. I wish all games had demos so I wouldn't have to download them to try. Take my word for it, you want this game. You'll get more hours out of this than pretty much any other title out, not only is the game incredible but $60 is an amazing value proposition considering how much there is to keep you occupied. I would definitely say so far this is GOTY!!
