I wasn't even a Tomb Kings fan before this DLC but I am now!

The faction is a blast to play with an array of new mechanics. The unique approach to the Vortex campaign is a breath of fresh air and I wish they had a similar thematic reason for war in the Mortal empires.

The animations are some of the best to date, and the sprawling vistas provided by the new maps are wonderful to behold.

The only downside is that now I am spoiled. each DLC needs to be as good or better and I want to see more lackluster factions get the same love and care this one got.

This is the spiritual sequel to Master of Magic that I have been waiting for.

A huge selection of Wizards to choose from or you can create your own. There are 8 distinct races you can play as with the Unhallowed being the most unique.

Planar Conquest also has enough spells and monsters to put some D&D manual to shame!

One of the things they added that I really like are the new planes. Each plane has it's own unique tileset and advantages and disadvantages.

I've played through quite a few games so far and I look forward to quite a few more; I really hope the developers (they are a small team) get enough support to do some more expansions, multiplayer and even console releases.

After having hundreds of hours on the 360 version I would google every couple days looking for news on a sequell. This is not a sequel, it is a post of the console game, but a port done right!

I could go on and on about how good this game is. It is not for everyone though. Want Skyrim or Witcher? Pass. There is a interesting story there but it is told in the typical Japanese European medieval themed way, and can be hard to follow. The game play is great.

It feels like Capcom opened a Monster Manual and started making a list of classic iconic fantasy creatures to add. Then they brought them to life with awesome animations. Each fight has depth and the monsters have a real weight to them.

Some also say it is sort of like Demon Souls but it really is not.
The first hours of the game can be brutal and are also the most fun you'll have. Brave off the beaten path in the dead of night when you are only level 7 and you will die. You'll wonder what that glowing in the distance is, and find out as a Chimera roars in anger and pounces on you out of the dark shredding your body. You'll hear a noise over the rise and crest it to find an ancient lich rising a cabal of the undead.

Also for $30 you are getting a TON of gameplay. This game is packed with things to do.

My suggestion for first timers, during your first gameplay, avoid guides and wikis. Experience it with a fresh set of eyes free from spoilers and tips. This is an experience in of itself. Oh also crank the volume up. Some of the soundwork in this game is the best I've come across. From the waves crashing on the to beach to the water dripping and moans of the undead in a bank pitch black crypt.

Positive's
Runs at 60 fps on my 5 year old PC with everything maxed.
Easy to immerse yourself in the environments.
Monster fights are tough and rewarding. Watching your companions learn and get better at fighting them is a treat.
Lots of gear to grind if you want to but not required.
Play with other people's companions.
Writing/speech helps nail the European Mythology feel.
The Dragon is Epic.
Action based gameplay that rewards careful planning and execution over button smashing. Tactical play is very much required.

Negatives
- The pawn chatter adds a lot to the game. HOWEVER it is over done and they will mention the same lines constantly.
- You will want more monsters, there are a ton here and they are done great, but you will still want more.
- Lots of pawn's to choose from, easy for yours to get lost in the shuffle.
- Lots or running during your first playthrough. The game sends you all over the place back and forth. This is not a negative for everyone but it is worth mentioning. There is a fast travel system but you slowly gain more waypoints as the game progresses.

If you are a fan of RPGs and or action games, I would highly recommend this game! I've put in 200 hours in the console version and I will probably be somewhere around that amount on the PC version.

*400 or so with the non-steam version.

Card Hunter is a Turn-based, Card Collecting, Tactical, Strategy Game. It does a lot and it does it very well.

One of my favorite games of all time I have spent countless hours on this hidden Gem. The artwork, the story, the playstyle. All executed very well!

Pros
Great Old School D&D Flavour
Is NOT pay to win at all
Likable characters in the Campaign
Fun competitive Leagues and online matches
Tons of Cards to collect
Opening Chest is super fun

Cons
- Lots of Grinding, lots (which to some people this is not a con!)
- No Trading (Which they explained why)

If you are a fan of Competitive Card Games, Board Games, Role-Playing games (although there isn't really any RPGing going on here). Give this game a try. With a beefy and fun Solo and co-op Campaign and an ongoing fun multiplayer environment with leagues, casual matches and custom made matches, there is a ton to do here. Best of all you don't have to drop a dime. (Although dropped a couple dimes here and there does support the development team)

Actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. I wish the city building parts were a little more robust and meaningful. The campaign was fun to push through I never did the second though, just jumped over to playing multiplayer with some friends.

It is not the deepest 4x ish game out there but I still found myself enjoying it. The graphics were good and the fights were pretty satisfying. I'm not one of those turn based Gurus who play every turnbased games on God or highest diffculty but I enjoyed the challenge the game presented on normal (was a tad bit easy though).

Graphics
Music
Tactical Battles

- City Building
- Samish feeling races
- doesn't feel like a lot of units per race

100 % worth it, if you want a slower paced thinking man game. The game drips with history and atmosphere and while the graphics are not the strongest they don't need to be. They fit the game perfectly fine. Come into this game expecting a deep board game like experience and you will be prepared. Its takes a little bit to learn the ropes but its worth it.

Lots of Theme and Lore
fun to watch battles sound effects are hilarious
good fantasy music
zounds of races and units
Giant manual

-/ Graphics Either you love them or hate them\

- Game can get hard fast
