There is a good game buried in here somewhere, if you can play it for longer than 15 minutes before it turns into a stuttery mess. It doesn't matter what settings you're running on--it'll just turn into a slideshow after awhile. Would not recommend the game in its current state. It needed a few more months in the oven.

Rubbish story. Unserious characters. Feels nothing at all like the original Dragon Age games, which were so much different in tone. They ruined it. Refunded.

Update: I'm updating this review to recommend it after Sony backed down from their terrible decision to force users to sign up for PSN.


Original post: It's a great game, 10/10, but I cannot in good conscience recommend Helldivers 2 after Sony's decision to force a region lock and PSN account requirement onto players of the game. It feels like a real bait and switch. Avoid.

It's a good game (in spite of the negative reviews) but it runs poorly unless you tweak a bunch of settings even on a high end graphics card. Would still recommend, but the DLC stuff is terrible. Capcom must change its practice.

The campaign might be the worst one yet. Fine multiplayer but it hasn't changed at all since MW2. Not worth $60.

Would recommend. I've never been able to really get into Apex Legends or Warzone, but I'm definitely into The Finals. The pace of combat is just perfect, and matchmaking is 10/10. There's respawns, no long waits, and the very minimal class-based combat feels just right.

Three hours in, first level done, my god, it's good old System Shock 2 goodness.

It's a decent game. Kind of short, though, and mostly forgettable. Worth playing on sale, like right now.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this plays, and how well it's written. It's still early, but it's a lot like Skyrim.

Just throwing my thumbs up in here to say yes, buy this game. Especially if you love well-designed and richly detailed management sims.
