Really fun collection, these rereleases show a lot of care and attention to make sure the change from DS to PC is as painless as possible. Magic Seals now just being QTE inputs is a great change (even if the buttons don't match my PS4 controller layout, it's fine because it matches the general button layout anyways.

there was more effort in stealing the milk of female employees than there was developing this game

Solid game, is overall very generous with regards to the gacha system, nowadays only season pass is really at all a help to have because it gives a lot of currency for getting IDs and EGOs for free. Story, music and art is very good too.

Very good remaster of the original version of the game, do not that this does not include additions that were given to the Xbox version of Onimusha 1 such as the Ogre Tower. Found no bugs or issues when playing, mechanically like the original and the new soundtrack is about on par with the original (but I suppose that's also nostalgia speaking). Overall just a very solid remaster.

Would absolutely love to get a remaster of Onimusha 2 since it'd not only my absolute favourite in the series, but it's also solely on PS2, a 3 remaster would be good because even though there is a very old PC port of 3 (that you cannot buy anymore) as it wasn't particularly well made.

It's most appropriate to compare this against the original, since it is of course a remake of it, so that is what I'll be doing.
Graphics are usual RE Engine deal, very solid performance for the looks, but I've never really been one for that so I won't be discussing it.

Gameplay is where I have my issues. It's obvious they've had to change and overhaul a lot of aspects of the gameplay in order to make it so that non-tank movement doesn't just let you freely waltz past enemies (even though that wasn't particularly hard even with tank controls).
Aiming feels much, much worse in general. The original's aiming was to me absolutely perfect, it felt like an extension of your mouse movements 1:1. In the remake, it feels floaty and and not at all exact with mouse movement. It's strange because aiming didn't feel particularly bad in RE2/3make, but this may be because the much faster enemy movement brings the flaws front and centre.

This compounds a further issue I have.

"Precision" and weapon shaking too. I utterly despise both in video games, the latter likely contributes to the floaty feeling of aiming in general that is mentioned above, the former is just unnecessary RNG, guns do not work like that, quit with this bad trend that things like CoD introduced.
Aim timer is utterly pointless, it resets if you even move your aim too much - In a game where enemies are naturally fast, aggressive, and like trying to move around to avoid your shots. Why even have this in still? It works for the slower zombies of RE2/3makes, but not at all here.

It feels like a lot of things got changed for the worse to accommodate for the lack of tank controls. Which really were a non-issue in the original.

Just get the original, it's much cheaper on top, too.

I've been playing this update-to-update since release and its been great. Personally I find the difficulty on the low side with a couple exceptions but that's mostly because I have extremely optimised decks and teams through familiarity with deckbuilding and games like Darkest Dungeon.
Speed dice mechanics aren't that hard to wrap your head around now and once you understand them and travel times between fights you can bend turns to your will.
Updates are very regular, with updates coming at least once a week so far and PM have made efforts to cut down on any grinding, it's in a good spot now that they fixed the bug with multiple books not getting dropped and Objet grade pages being easier to get, it's not that hard to get strong decks for your current progress and it's nice when you've put together a deck and it works.
Personally I think the game should be overall a bit harder than it is right now, but I think that's getting fixed as can be seen with the most recent update as of writing.

Considering my current playtime, I'd say the game is worth it.

game would be fun if the devs weren't woefully incompetent and completely fail to address the issues with the game
it used to be pretty fun but after bad update after bad update its like what's the point lmao, killer isn't fun to play and it takes like 5 minutes to get into a lobby as a survivor because nobody wants to play killer

i should also point out, they seem to be dead set on the "new player experience", but one of the biggest issues of that is the completely broken matchmaking and ranking system, so you can end up in games with people WAY worse or WAY better than you.
so what do they do? just hide the ranks so you can't point out how broken the system is anymore!
genius

once you get into it, its fun and can be really intense on later days, consider days 1 - 20 your tutorial, maybe reset a couple of times, you retain all your gear and upgrades through playthroughs which makes things a lot easier in future runs
enjoy the bosses and day 49 though!
