I’m not usually a fan of these types of games, but the IP alone makes this one really fun. The character banter is awesome, the maps are enjoyable, and the coordination aspect is really cool. I know it’s a reskin of other games like Overwatch, but this one just feels right to me. I really enjoy the quick matches, and it’s perfect for unwinding after work when you just want to chill with your buddies!

This is a great game and overall I have been enjoying the old school vibe to this classic - However, Ranked Battles are borked. You could be winning and get someone to their last bar of HP and they 'Rage Quit' without consequence and the person who would have won gets no credit either. So as far as I'm concerned until they fix Rank Battles its not worth really going in there cause a lot of try-hards get butt hurt when their Overpowered character is losing to someone they think they should win over so they just leave the match. Otherwise its a good game haha.. I cant give it a thumbs down cause of that issue and I'm hoping they address it.

Early Access Review
A Game that gives me a lot of Mixed Feelings
** Will change my review at a later time if more changes come! **

Pros

Crafting and gathering are a lot more streamlined, especially in the early game. Having to work with others is a plus in my book, too. I do like the grind.

Cons

Everything else, including combat, enemy diversity, and weapons & armor from tier to tier, doesn't seem to have too significant of an impact overall. They definitely need to work on that. I see a marginal difference between having T2 armor vs. T1.

There need to be more types of mining nodes (e.g., silver should be a node, and even low-level gems should be minable). Some of the crafting professions require a bit more work still, such as jewelry. Gathering skills themselves need more oomph to them.

Feedback:
Enough said. They really do need weapon abilities as you skill up in them, and a diversity of enemy difficulty. I haven't tried PvP yet, but having done enough hunting, I'd say that hasn't changed much since Early Access (combat still feels the same). It is 100% an alpha game still, maybe even where a game would be at the start of an alpha or somewhere in the middle. Its core gameplay features, crafting and gathering, are great, but its third core aspect is dull. Lastly, it isn't unique enough, and I do think that's going to be what brings them down. If they force folks to pay a subscription for what they seem to be offering or will be offering, you can do all that for free in another game. Some of them you listed, like Ark or even modded Conan, offer similar experiences.

Gathering skills do require a bit more 'oomph' for leveling them up. To be frank, the difference between level 1 and level 41 is very marginal at best. I don't see much difference in the amount I'm gathering. The tools have the greatest impact.

Title: A Captivating Journey into Fantasy Realms - Five Stars Across the Board!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Baldur's Gate III has undoubtedly redefined the standards for modern RPGs, showcasing excellence in graphics, story, and gameplay that immerse players in a fantastical world like never before.

Graphics (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): The visual experience in Baldur's Gate III is nothing short of breathtaking. Every landscape, from the ancient forests to the sprawling cities, is meticulously crafted with stunning detail. The lighting effects play a crucial role in setting the tone and atmosphere of the game, whether it's the warm glow of a campfire during a tense conversation or the eerie illumination of a moonlit cavern. Character models are remarkably expressive, bringing to life every nuance of emotion and personality. The attention to detail is evident in the intricate designs of armor, weapons, and magical effects, making battles and exploration visually rewarding and utterly captivating.

Story (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): The narrative woven into Baldur's Gate III is a masterpiece that keeps players riveted from start to finish. The rich lore, complex characters, and morally ambiguous choices create an engrossing tapestry of intrigue. Every decision you make, no matter how seemingly insignificant, has a ripple effect on the story, leading to multiple branching paths and a sense of agency rarely found in RPGs. The main questline is accompanied by a plethora of well-crafted side stories that add depth to the world and characters. Dialogues are brilliantly written, showcasing a range of emotions and perspectives that truly make you feel like a part of this living, breathing fantasy realm.

Gameplay (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): Baldur's Gate III strikes the perfect balance between tradition and innovation in its gameplay mechanics. The Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition ruleset serves as a solid foundation, offering strategic depth and complexity. The turn-based combat system is tactical and rewarding, encouraging players to think critically about positioning, abilities, and synergies between party members. The implementation of verticality and environmental interactions adds another layer of strategy, allowing for creative solutions to encounters. Exploration is equally exhilarating, as you uncover hidden treasures, solve puzzles, and navigate treacherous terrains. The companions you gather along the way are multi-dimensional and interact dynamically, making for engaging party dynamics that evolve with your choices.

Baldur's Gate III is a testament to the developer's dedication to delivering a true modern classic. It seamlessly blends cutting-edge graphics with a compelling story and intricate gameplay mechanics, resulting in an experience that transports players into a realm of magic, mystery, and adventure. Whether you're a veteran of the RPG genre or a newcomer, this game is an absolute must-play, deserving every one of its five stars.

A Honest Review Beyond the Technical Issues...
While the initial launch of this game was less then OK - I'm writing this review based on the game itself rather then the technical aspects which have plagued the game at its initial launch. I'm also not going to highlight the negatives as I feel that is a bit too easy to do. Instead I'm going to highlight then things I absolutely loved in this game.

Graphics & Gameplay 10/10
Beautiful Graphics and Environments. Not only are they beautiful but for the most part interactable from parkour to lighting effects. Ray Tracing really is on full display on this game and truly only adds to the ambiance which the game goes really far to bring home. The Gameplay is phenomenal. The variety of lightsaber stances (Lightsaber & Pistol, 1H, 2H, Staff) really give you options plus the customization of your abilities and force powers is on point. The game doesn't treat the force disrespectfully either and makes you feel like you are playing a Jedi not some super soldier.

Story 10/10
This is by far the most impressive starwars game series I have played in a long time. KOTOR was a great story driven series but this one takes it to a new level. Its got a lot of mystery to it and lets just say the big surprise at the end is well worth it all (Just dont watch Youtube videos on this!! You will ruin the surprise for yourself). Its got some great moments of Humor, Some darkness and characters you can believe as real people struggling to find their way. Just Remember while playing this game Cal's had to guide himself with Cere's help. There is no Order to depend on.. if you go into this game with that mindset the story makes a lot of sense. Especially the struggles.

Wonderful addition to the Tales of Series. Just remarkable from start to end - A grade A addition to the Action oriented JRPG Theme. Graphics are stunning, Story is great and each character is given a good amount of time and attention. Beautiful from start to end.

Probably one of the best game series ever. The story grips you from start to end - having been one of those players that played this so long ago, the Legendary Edition does the fan's a great service. As you can tell by the hours I put in, I truly enjoyed the ride. Even though it lacks its multiplayer, they do not craft games like this anymore where you can have a journey from start to end.

Story - 10
Characters - 8 (Garrus & Tali are a 10. Unfortunately Miranda and Jacob bring the score down a bit.)
Graphics - 9 (The Legendary Version really amplifies the love for ME 1)
Gameplay - 8 (Easy Controls; Plenty of room to Master especially on Higher Difficulty)
The Journey - 10 (Made me feel like I was in my twenties again)

Conan Exiles and Minecraft (Super Charged) meets Viking Legend!

If you like Conan Exiles (The exploration, the dungeon crawling, the narrative) then you will most certainly enjoy Valheim. There is adventure, depth, a rich world full of lore and legends and more importantly your friends never need to feel left behind. There is challenges, obstacles and all of it very enticing. I would definately recommend it if your seeking something to kill time!
