Flying planes, driving tanks and piloting ships is fun. Therefore a game designed around flying planes, driving tanks and piloting ships should be quite enjoyable.
But Gaijin managed to make that nearly impossible.

An impossible grind to get to higher tier vehicles, forcing players into buying premium accounts or vehicles.
Terrible balancing (especially in Ground BR. PLANES dominate GROUND BR, I mean cmn).
Way to many vehicles only beeing there to get shot at while others are way to good at shooting at them.
Stale maps without any dynamic to the point you have a invent a "fun" way to play them.
Spawntrapping. A lot of spawntrapping.

All this and much more prevents this game from beeing playable. And all this because Gaijin decided that money is worth more than a fun game with a healthy playerbase.
They even managed to trick players into positive reviews stating "if you hate your life play it".

This game is terrible for everyone and should be treated as such. And thats comming from someone who played CS for way to much time.
