This had a grip on my friends and I for a good while lol. It is genuinely so nice to just sit back and collect little fish while talking with the fellas. Also the aesthetic and characters is so charming!

I fully believe in this game and it's future. It is rough atm (first day of early access release) but I can see where this game is going. Fantastic art direction, I could see this as an animated short series.

Rough launch due to network mishaps but literally everything else in the game is perfect. You can earn the premium currency for free by unlocking it in the free pass AND finding it in missions from loot containers. This means the premium pass can be obtained for free if you don't mind the grind. Which it doesn't even feel like grinding in this game cause the gameplay is just THAT entertaining. This game is completely perfect with friends and I can't wait to vote for it in the "best with friends" steam awards.

stellar game. Perfect game to play with friends with using in game mic only. Gets insanely chaotic especially if you get the larger lobby mod for a party game night.

as someone that has been playing dnd for ~3 years now, this is quite literally the best video-game-ification of the 5e rule system. It feels this way in the mechanical sense of the rules and the actual imaginative play of dnd. My personal choices actually feel like they have GENUINE impact on the world. This is reinforced by characters saying "hey you saved these people like 10 quests ago and I still think about the impact of it.", or something like that. As someone that likes to play righteous paladins, being a vengeance paladin sworn to vanquish evil has been SO fun and the class fantasy is almost perfect. Because I am this kind of paladin I get to tell monsters I will have their head and then get to tell actual people I have no issue with them as they are innocent in my eyes. There have even been moments where I had to switch my playstyle juuuust so I don't break my oath.

I also build 5e PCs a LOT, and it is sooooo awesome I can translate my real 5e character builds to a video game and play them the same way I play them on tabletop. This game is truly awesome and I know I am at minimum going to play 5 playthroughs lol. Can not recommend enough

Aside from performance issue (ironed out within the first week of release it seems) and building shaders for 2 hours, this game is absolutely worth it.

I did not expect a new game and replayability on top of everything else. The story that is told (directly through interactions and indirectly through world building and environment) is such a fantastically well written piece. The characters felt very grounded and seemed as they were plausible people. What I loved most is the Joel and Ellie dynamic. Seeing Joel slowly go from a man that won't admit a word about his past or pains to talking to Ellie about Sarah is just great to see. And Ellie is honestly THE best way I have seen a child character made in a game. Usually child characters are written off as some annoyance or there just to be there. But Ellie is apart of your adventure and she really seems like a 14yo trying to brave this scary world. Her genuine childlike curiosity about the world, having dreams like wanting to be an astronaut, and the teen angst on being self sufficient lol. All the other characters you meet along the way are also amazingly well written and great to interact with (except you DAVID you deserved what you got and more) through the whole game. The combat was also very fun and decently challenging through the whole game. By far my fav thing about the combat is melee, there's just something about throwing a haymaker at an infected that really activates my neurons.

I recommend!! Can't wait for part 2 on PC fs

This game was very compelling. It got a little personal to me. Good story, good stuff.

Such a fantastic and well made survival game (Survival horror sometimes lol)

Even better with friends because you deal with real issues such as: Your friend not organizing the stash correctly, they're a glutton and ate all the canned food, they shot all the ammo and now a 300 zombie horde is on your front yard.

Easy to learn and HARD to master.

Also workshop mod support is so good! So many things to add into the experience.
