Amazing and addictive game. Cannot stop playing.
Definitely needs some polish here and there and more stuff fleshed out.
Glad to read the developer is back in the saddle at least.
This game deserves all the love it deserves!

Early Access Review
I'd love to play this... but... endlessly stuck at trying to connect to the authentication service.
The launcher looks nice and has a few videos, but after that there wasn't much else for me to do.
Apart from more waiting.
Well, screw that. :(

For some one who has been playing games for well over two decades and getting fatiqued with the current generation on offer, this game was so incredibly refreshing.
Super polished gameplay in combination with an amazing story.
It really helps if you don't read the synopsis of the game or watch the trailer(s) before starting it. I went in totally fresh and this kept me on the edge of my seat, even after more mysteries and WTF questions were answered by the story throughout the game.
Doesn't happen often a game actually tickles my brain regarding some deep philisophical matters regarding one's existance and what it means to exist at all for that matter.
If you are on the bench regarding this title... stop hesistating. Buy it, play it and you might agree it's right up there with gems like Half-Life and other titles that remain with you for times to come.

Got this game gifted to me and finished it one single session. Please take some time off for this (about 4 hours to be safe) and finish it in one single go. In fact, if you go on long enough there is hardly a way of stopping anymore. You won't be disappointed by the finale. This much is absolutely guaranteed. Buy it, play it, believe it. This will stick with you for a bit at the end and you will most likely recommend this game to a few friends afterwards.

Normally, I don't really bother with writing reviews. Then Crashlands happened.
Lately I've grown tired of gaming, don't know why. Even Fallout 4 is just laying around and not getting played at all.
Then Crashlands happened. A game that isn't my most favorite genre and didn't peak my interest until TouchArcade shed some light on the game including the touching backstory (developer with cancer) fueling the entire creation of this very game together with his two fellow brothers.
This is also why I decided to not only purchase it for iOS, but also Steam.
"Yeah ok," you might be wondering "...but is the game any good? Especially when it's not really your genre?" Heck yeah it is!
This game is so incredible that I've already played almost 12 hours in total and only just now I've finished the required quest to move on to the second biome in the game.
If you love the art, music and humor presented to you in the trailer speaks to you, then please don't hesistate. Buy it!
Personally, I just can enjoy spacing out endlessly whacking away at resources and enemies. The game works for any mood you are in, which makes it so accessible. You can play it for minutes, or hours, also a key feature to make a game accessible.
And perhaps the most exciting part is the extra polish and features this game is going to receive over the next few updates to come. Not to mention the Campaign Creator tool so that users can create their own campaigns for the game!
It's already fantastic in it's current state, and both the creators and users are going to make sure this well won't run dry anytime soon. My iOS GOTY 2016 already!

Fantastic platformer with a lot of charm and clever mechanics.
The graphics are fresh and colorful. Absolutely a joy to feast your eyes on no matter what game screen you are on.
Combat is getting used to. It's all about timing.
If you love platformers, this one cannot be excluded from your collection!

Buyers beware!

Broken graphics and other technical issues. Compared to the original release there is a lot more missing then just shadows.
Lots of nice post processing effects are gone too, and there is absolutely nothing to be seen regarding the improved textures and whatever else they promised.
Ran both the old version and new version next to one another and the difference was very noticable. What is even more annoying are the constant hiccups (especially when the camera pans) in the frame rate.
Really don't understand why you would release such a broken game. Why not wait until everything has been fixed and then release it?
Didn't want to believe the reviews and just upgraded for those mere few euros, but at the moment they feel kind of wasted.
Here is to hoping it will get patched really quickly. In it's current state I cannot recommend this game for both new commers and upgrading owners alike.
