I gave this game a fair chance. Multiple times.
It's too repetitive, shallow and it stretches out everything.
The game doesn't respect your time. It has very little to offer and makes you work very hard for it.

The gameplay :
- no skill involved whatsoever
- very basic interactions : hold button to mine, point and shoot, press button to craft, recharge equipment by pressing button.
- tedious inventory management
- nothing happens on planets. No other characters, no cities, no nothing. You're the only person in the entire universe exploring planets.
- combat system is as basic as you can get

The repetitiveness:
- missions: go to marker, press button
- exploring: same stuff everywhere with slight variations
- building: for partly automating the boring mining.

The painful:
- you need to manually craft every single component individually for your part even if you have all the materials.
- very long landing sequences even though you need to do that all the time (planet, space station, anomaly, freighter, etc.)
- auto saves forced. you can't manage your own manual save.
- you have to open up npc dialogue for every single individual race gift item you want to give them.
- you have to move ressources between your freighter storage and freighter core because the ones in storage don't show up as being in your inventory (even with matter beam).
- finding all fauna of a single planet is often way too difficult. You're missing one animal that could show up only after hours and hours of searching.

The game is very dynamic and exciting! The fighting mechanics are tight, it's easy to get into and feels amazing to play but there's a ton of depth for people who want to push further. There is a lot to master in order to perform technical combos, counters and so on. The fights never feel boring and you feel like you're learning everytime you play.

The graphics are on point. The special animation technique that makes 3D models look like 2D anime is simply gorgeous. The animations are so dynamic and fluid, it feels very intense.

The only bad thing is the story mode which is easy and repetitive but the cutscenes are good.

I'd recommend it if you want a fighting with a lot of peps, great content and varied gameplay.
All character feel and play differently and are balanced. Everyone is viable, the game does a good job at making you play different characters with the 3v3 and assist mechanics.

The music is also awesome.

They should do something about the lobbies problem though.

The game is incredibly fun. If you enjoy fighting games and Dragon Ball, you won't be disappointed.

Fun gameplay with an original mechanic.
Fast-paced
Good use of environment for stealth and killing opportunities

- Too easy
- Too short
- Not enough variety for combat

Not very expensive so I'd recommend it because in the end its fun and refreshing. But I would've liked to see more depth in the combat system, better AI and more complex environements.

Too many bugs and performance issues for $60. Should be in Early Access.
The missions are very, very repetitive.
The gameplay itself is alright and It's fun with friends though.

The game is enjoyable. It has quite some challenges and variety. The controls, collisions and g-force system (your health essentially) need some polishing. But it feels nice. It's requires dexterity to pull of some tricks and you feel good when you succeed. The game did not do a good job at explaining some subtleties in the trick system which is a shame.

The map is very vast and the tracks are good.
The open world and multiplayer is really what makes it feel really like a freeroam experience. It has no loading time whatsoever.

It has performance and optimizations issue for me that I also hope will be fixed in the final release.

I love the wingsuit, the really huge mountains and big tracks, freedom, gameplay, etc.

I think the price is a bit too high but so far, it's a game that I really enjoyed because the races are really chalenging and fun.

Early Access Review
Controls are awful, characters are missing a ton of moves and there's no balance and no 3rd party gamepad support.

"Would you like to do battle with a midget riding piggyback on a bullymong? If the answer is yes, please proceed to the Southern Shelf and defeat Midgemong for me. If the answer is no, you are sad, and I've no desire to speak with you further."

Amazing story. The atmosphere, the emotional bound to the characters, the whole experience is unique and memorable.
Yes, it's just a walking simulator with choices in the dialog and a little gameplay twist but this game does it incredibly well.
You will get attached to the story, you will feel your choices have meaningful consequences and you will crave to find out what's going on, what's happening and what you can do to understand and influence this beautifully crafted story.

It's the kind of game capable of touching your soul. The whole game is a beautiful metaphor and is very poetic.
The gameplay itself is very good and innovative. You switch between a precise, strategic turn-by-turn system and dynamic fight on the fly. You can combine any skill with any other in any order to create a vast amount of different skills.

The soundtrack is simply unique, memorable and moving. One of the best music I've ever heard and it has real meaning in the game itself.

The brilliance of this game relies in the deep connection between the atmosphere/graphics/music, the story and the gameplay, all of which supported by a constant metaphorical and philosophical approach about reality and technological systems. I really bounded emotionally with the story, the characters and the ambiance but the game does more. It's a new and different perspective on life and technology. It's really incredible how this game has touched my heart. It's the kind of experience that stays with you your whole life.

Masterpiece.
