Despite its critics, TF2 has stood the test of time. There was a slight decrease in UX after it went free-to-play a few years ago and kids who downloaded the game for free flooded public servers just to trade hats and be toxic. The ranking system, official servers, and user reporting helped fix that. I've been playing since 2007 and I still pick it up from time to time.

Fun if you just want to speed run the whole game with a handful of people while whacking everything with crowbars. I highly recommend playing HL2 first, if you haven't already.

It's fun, but you have to coordinate with your friends to get a Raft night going. Just one or two people playing together is going to be tedious and boring.

Works flawlessly on Steam Play.

It's fun when it works, but Wildcard consistently neglects their Linux customers. Currently, it's April 2020. The game has been broken across all Linux distributions since February. (see link below) This is not the first time and I doubt it will be the last. If you're a Linux gamer, save yourself a lot of headache and don't buy any Wildcard titles.
