Hello, I have played War Thunder for many numbers of years, put thousands of hours in, and even spent thousands of dollars unfortunately. It is embarrassing to admit but when I was young I would put almost every single dollar that I had into this game because it meant so much to me. But as time moved on I really started to notice the horrible practices that Gaijin use to keep the game running and to continue to be able to profit hands over fist. The fact that this game is called free to play is extremely predatory as it almost cannot be played when done free, and I will give some reasons as to why.

1) The increase in repair costs, the fact that repair costs even exist when some players struggle to have enough SL to be able to buy their next vehicle is disgusting, why should we be punished for playing the game and not being at the top of our game at all times. The fact that in some matches it takes almost 3 kills in order to recoup the cost of playing the vehicle, it is disgusting.

2) The constant addition of newer, harder to get content, with no balance to the older content to make it easier to reach the new highest tier. I remember years back when orange doom was still a content creator, he decided to see how long it would take to research every vehicle without spending a single cent, I genuinely believe that this feat is impossible now.

3) The fact that there are paid vehicles that are genuinely better than their tech tree counterparts just should not exist, the free to play players and the paying players should be on the exact same playing field, and yet it just is not like that.

It really is a shame to see the game that I have poured countless days into falling apart, but at the same time I am happy to finally see the community stand up to the disgusting practices that Gaijin put in place with War Thunder. If I could go back and prevent myself from giving Gaijin a single cent, I sure as hell would, because I know for damn sure that I regret those purchases today. I hope that this review can be a proper warning to anyone wanting to play War Thunder, just ask anyone who has at least 200 hours if you should play, and see their opinions.
I really hope that some change can be made to bring back the game that we all know and love, because the War Thunder that I see today is not the War Thunder that I want to remember.
