As a big fan of the Portal franchise, it's no surprise to anyone that this game has earned my love and devotion. One of the best things about this game is the fact that the tests (chambers/puzzles.. call 'em what you want) are somewhat difficult to solve so it really pushes you to think outside of the box a lot of the time. I'm not disregarding the fact that the original games had difficult-to-solve tests, but Portal Stories: Mel brings that difficulty to a whole new level. I believe the longest time I spent trying to figure out one of the tests was about 45 minutes. Admittedly, a lot of that time was spent with my face buried in my hands and nose exhaling deeply out of frustration rather than trying every possible solution that I could... but that's just how it is with these tests, and I love it. The story itself is great and I fell in love with Virgil, which is the core that we get to follow around in this adventure (though I had my doubts about them thanks to the Betrayal of Wheatley [super heartbroken from that still]). I don't know if it was just me (I noticed this for Portal as well) but upon first playing this game, my aspect ratio was very... ew. I didn't really know that anything was wrong with it until my friends rudely pointed it out, so if that occurs for you upon game play, fix it yourself in the main menu (under Options). It definitely helps with the experience.

Overall, I would definitely recommend getting this game and playing it right away, especially if you're a fan of the original games. :) It's very well done!
