Divinity: Original Sin 2 is by all means a fantastic game. It's story is rich, has excellent gameplay, and will really appeal to DnD fans. However, when playing online there is a severe bug which seriously impacts the ability to play with friends. The reason I cannot recommend this game is not because the bug exists, but more so because there have been numerous reports on this critical issue and the devs don't seem to acknowledge it.

The bug is as follows:

When playing online with friends if the host at any point reloads the game, the game will reload fine the first time. However, a subsequent reload will cause the loading freeze to hang indefinitely at around 80% until the non-host player(s) forcibly terminate Divinity: Original Sin 2 (alt f4 etc...). Should they choose to rejoin, the loading screen to reconnect to your lobby will be long, and eventually when they do reconnect you are only allowed to re-load one time before the aforementioned bug will occur again. Repeat ad nauseam. My friends and I have tested this on multiple new games and confirmed that this will happen both with and without mods, even in the tutorial zone.

Played three games. Game froze and wouldn't let me alt tab, ctrl alt delete, or anything. Totally froze up my computer. Went to sign out, game threw a security violation exception, finished signing out, and signed back into my machine. Now whenever I launch the game I am greeted by a screen that says "login". Clicking "login" tells me that my id is no longer valid. Not sure what's going on here, but if your client locks up my machine, and I get banned (not sure if I am actually banned but I sure as hell can't log back in), there is something seriously wrong.
