I enjoy the game and it's great to play with a group of friends. Can get surprisingly heated a few beers deep. Found myself screaming at my dead friend for hindering me with a chair while I was escaping the Hunter.

Also, you can fart on people and they choke, which is an A mechanic.

Some things seem a bit unbalanced, but the game is new and I'm sure the devs will be making changes. It's Free 99 boys, give it a shot!

Civilization V is a great addition to the Civ lineup. It offers a brand new style of unit attacks and changes the pace of battle. Compared to previous Civ games, you can't stack combat units on the same tiles and it makes city sieges and attacks more costly and requires more strategic approaches.

Cities have their own defenses, and breaking down defenses in enemy cities is a crucial part of defeating them without great casualties and money wasted.

It's a turn based strategy game that has continued to improve with each game released. It has a lot of downloadable content and there a lot of custom scenarios in the steam workshop and online. The only con that I find is that games can take a long time to complete and if you're playing with other players online it can be a boring and stressful experience waiting for their turn to end.

I personally don't have a high attention span for strategy games like Civilization and I prefer fast paced first person shooters. However, my father has been playing Civ games longer than I have and he can go on binges and play 4 hour games back to back.

It's worth picking up if you're looking for a relaxing RTS.

I've played all the Elder Scrolls games since Morrowind was released and I can honestly say that Oblivion was my favorite. Morrowind was by far the most advanced and in depth in the RPG genre and was more story driven, but Oblivion was the elder scroll game which I devoted the most playtime.

It's graphics don't compare to Skyrim, but what do you expect for just short of a decade gap in technology. The graphics Oblivion has on max rendering and max settings (which can EASILY be run by modern graphics cards) is not cringeworthly to say the least. I still to this day prefer Oblivion to Skyrim for story content, modability, and GUI and skill advancement. It's truly a beautiful RPG game and is worth picking up when you're bored or looking for an RPG to play.

10/10 would waste my childhood on this game again.

Early Access Review
I bought this game three days ago and I've already logged 11.7 hours on the game. I've personally been a fan of survival series games for a long time and I've played multiple games in the genre (DayZ Mod, DayZ Standalone, Rust, WarZ). For an alpha game "The Forest" offers an extremely entertaining game with minimal glitches (for an alpha).

There are some bugs but none that are game breaking or altering. I've had nothing but good things to say about it so far.

As far as development goes, the developers have a rigid schedule for releasing new updates and display a countdown informing the players when the next alpha build will be released (13 days from me writing this review). As far as I can tell, they take all the criticisms from players into account and legitimately try to improve the game based on the feedback.

Unlike many survival games, The Forest allow for you to build your own base, traps, custom buildings, and even boats. Even in alpha where many features are still unavailable it will take hours of gameplay to experience and build everything it has to offer.

The game also has a horror aspect which really creates a tense atmosphere and motivates you to scavenge for protection. There are hostile villagers and cannibals that would like nothing more than to beat you down and eat your flesh.

I definitely recommend this game, and I will continue to stream it.

CS:GO Review
Counter-Strike is known by many as the mother of modern FPS games, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is another great addition to the franchise.

Pro's for Casual Players:

With that being said, CSGO addresses many concerns that more casual players, or fans of other FPS games had with previous titles in the genre such as CS:S. It has a matchmaking system for competitive games that also has a ranking system that allows for movement both up and down in the ranks. They allow you to easily play games with your friends as well as custom game modes and mods on community servers. CSGO, unlike other CS games, has skins and cases that are both available from drops ingame, or purchases on the steam market.

I've played a little over 2000 hours on CSGO, but I have over 10000 hours across 1.6, source, and CSGO combined and I've been playing at a competitive level for about 8 years (i've played for a total of 14 years). In CSGO, there is a competitve gamemode "Competitive Matchmaking" this will pair you up in a 5v5 bomb defusal setting (or hostage rescue) with players of similar skill rating. However, there are other gamemodes that are tailored to more casual players such as demolition or arms race.

For Competitive Players:

While matchmaking is well and good for a competitive player looking to play a tournament based gamemode, there are many alternatives in the CSGO community for players to improve and participate in tournaments for prizes and money.

ESEA (ESEA.net) is a service that costs approximately $7 a month to subscribe to. This will allow you to create scrim teams and play versus other teams for practice. The players and teams who play on ESEA are at a much MUCH higher skill level than matchmaking. Additionally, ESEA has the industry leading anti-cheat and you will experience far fewer cheaters than on matchmaking. ESEA also has tournaments and ladders that you can participate in if you want to take your esports experience to the next level.

CEVO.com is another service similar to ESEA. They've recenetly re-invented themselves and now have PUG and Scrim services similar to ESEA, but they offer them for free. The skill level is generally lower on CEVO than ESEA, but is still a higher level than you'll find on matchmaking. CEVO also offers tournaments you can participate in (pay to play, or free to play).

FaceIt.com is a tournament ladder website that allows you to participate in daily, weekly, and monthly tournaments and earn points or win prizes. I'm less experienced with FaceIt and personally have only used it two or three times. You'll find that with all three websites I mentioned (faceit, cevo and esea) many players intersect and are generally member of two or all three communities.

Skins and cases have amassed a large amount of money that Valve has pumped back into the community and is working to revive CS esports and frankly they are doing a damn good job. There are plenty of ways to play this game competitively.

My view may be bias because I've grown up my whole life playing Counter-Strike games, but I still believe it's the greatest multiplayer FPS ever made in a competitive standpoint and hopefully it will continue to be a leading PC eSport.

So yes, I recommend this game for anyone looking for a competitive or casual FPS experieince. For $15 you can't really go wrong.

Update: for steam badge :/

I'm writing that I don't recommend this game because it isn't a type of game that everyone can enjoy. That being said, it you have a large wallet and are willing to shell out atleast $25 then you can consider it something you might enjoy. The game is almost 100% pay to win and being a member with all F2P weapons will almost guarantee that you will slit your wrists and die. Other than that, if you can get past the waves of hackers that go undetected with speed hacks, aimbot, and no recoil then all and all it's not an awful third person shooter.
