This is my first time ever playing a visual novel game, and I must say I do not regret giving DDLC a try. While advancing was a bit confusing, the psychological horror aspect of it definitely kicked in, the story was so immersive and well thought out that I wish I could play some more.

For anyone who likes horror, I definitely recommend giving this a try, although if you have a weak stomach I probably would pass, even I was left mentally scarred for a few days after playing this, but can't say I regret it.
