Remember the 90's of Finnish video games? Remember the likes of Wings, Molez, Liero and god knows what else? This beauty here takes all that, combines it with the classic "falling sand" games of the late 00's, and turns it into a delightfully lethal roguelite adventure.

It has flaws, yes. Missions tend to be repetitive. However.. the gameplay is fun. Co-op is fun. Styling on silly Kuritans is double fun, and I wager that once I start whacking Cappies when the 4th SW starts, oh boy, that's when the fun starts PROPER.

It's like the crappy car you take for your summer road trip. It's a bit beaten-up, the left brake light isnt working, but the trip is so fun you're likely to ignore it. Also, just wait till the modding scene kicks into high gear..

For about the price of a cheap pizza, you get a nice little story of soldiering and glory with interesting characters, with surprising replay value too!
Best enjoyed with tea or some other similarly classy beverage.

Something worth checking out if you ever feel yourself thirsting for stuff in the vein of Deus Ex or System Shock - not the exact same flavor, but close enough to taste familiar.

What can I really say, except "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥"?
The demo version of Exile 2 on my father's old Macintosh back in uhh.. 1996? 1997? was my first contact with computer RPG's, and boy what a contact it was. I had no idea about anything, I just.. explored, clicked random buttons and slowly got the hang of it. Back in those days the Internet was not a thing, and me being a kid made the mysterious "registration" and a 25 dollar pricetag pure wishful thinking.

So what, 20 years later, I finally get around to finish the game that started it all for me. Kinda. Time to give Exile 2 a whirl, now that it's freeware. I want to see a few of these places in their original form..

As for A2? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy it play it savor it. A gem like this doesnt come around every year. If Jeff gets around remaking Exile 3 a second, and perhaps final time, then ho-ly crap it's going to be awesome. The size of that gameworld will blow your minds. In the meantime, enjoy the second chapter in the saga of Avernum.

This game is a very special brand of madness. Check your sanity in at the door, and beware the dangerous pudding.

Really. When a game tells you to "Prepare to Die", you know something's up. It's glorious. From Firelink to Anal Rodeo, you get to enjoy magnificient scenery, absolutely unmatched atmosphere, and of course the charming local customs of KILLING THE ♥♥♥♥ OUT OF YOU every step you take carelessly.

YOU WANT TO WASH WANG OR WATCH WANG WASH WANG?
This.. if you loved good old Duke Nukem 3d, this'll likely put a smile on your face too. The level design is remarkable for something from 1997, with interactive stuff like walls you can blow up, vehicles to drive, and devices to activate. Bonus points from all the 90's anime references the game's crammed chock full of.

An excellent hybrid of action / puzzle gaming. Gorgeous level design and music makes for a real classic of the stealth genre.

What can I say about the war-themed hat / jewish moneygrab scheming simulator that has not been said before? I'll try something simple. The game is ridiculously fun. Shoot the ♥♥♥♥ out of people. Get hats. Trade hats for more hats. Wear hats while shooting the ♥♥♥♥ out of people to get more hats. ~ <3
