this game has become so trash and i hate it. 10/10

This review has been something a long time coming so I'll try to explain this without rambling.

Omori is a wonderful game plain and simple. I very heavy tackle on very sensitive subjects for a lot of people but can also show people the dangers of relying on escapism and repression of trauma instead of handling it face on. I've already let a friend of mine who's worked on the game know that the game is beautifully made and amazingly executed in all aspects. Having been able to personally attach myself to events of the game it has struck a much deeper wound in me that I thought was behind me but turns out still is there. But realizing if that, even if it's just a game, Omori can come to terms with his trauma and accept it than so can everyone.

Highly recommend and very glad this project was able to come true for Omocat. Very proud of her and the rest of the crew who made this game a reality after so many years.

I stayed away from this game and any and all spoilers or content for 5 years due to the complete toxic fandom that came from this game. I believed after this many years, once the hype has died and the fandom is all but a humble flame, it was time to give my fair analysis of this game. I don't wanna go to deep into detail but everything about this game (with some minor details) hit a home run for me. The characters are all fleshed out and enjoyable without being overbearing. The music is phenomenal and entrancing without taking away from the visual aesthetic of the 8bit over world and the pixelated fight scenes. Toby Fox really outdid himself with this and seeing how he was the only one developing this game is an amazing feat on its own. Even after finishing the game I'll listen to the soundtrack while driving or working on hobbies because they are that good to me. The comedy in the game holds up as it is more character based rather than relating to current events and will continue to age finely and be funny to people who want to replay after a long time or firstimers. With all that being said this game was a major milestone in the Indie Game community and really brought Toby to a spotlight. I 100% recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun time and relaxed game.
