And the soldiers picked their weapons up
Then jumped through all the hoops.

The Colonel awarded medals,
And the Major filled their ranks.
The Captains thanked their sergeants,
And said the men were brave.
The Sergeants arranged the funerals,
And the soldiers lined the graves.
