Early Access Review
Game's a 9/10 so far.

I've burned plenty of midnight (and daylight) oil with other Factorio-esque games like the first Shapez... and this one is up there. Blows its predecessor clean out of the water, actually and improves upon it in all ways.
  • The 3 levels of verticality add lots of new ways to make factories more complex and compact.
  • The macro-scale building and copying of entire factories allows for rapid expansion and progression across the seemingly infinite map.
  • Blueprints!!!
  • It finally has trains to move resources quickly across vast distances.
  • The ingame guides to making shapez are comprehensive and clear.
  • And its in full 3D now yet it still runs buttery smooth.
Eventhough the game is still in Early Access, it's already honky dory.

But beware.... it'll make your concept of time cease to exist...

An addictive puzzle/factory game that scratches the itch for optimization, efficiency and problem solving with complex production chains. Minimalist visuals, relaxing music and good controls in a seemingly endless world that fuel a constant need to improve the layout of a production chain.

Mine, cut, rotate, mix, colorize and merge shapes to complete the requested shape and advance to the next level. Shapes become more complex and your production lines will expand exponentially. Optimize with upgrades so every belt or machine performs its task faster and more efficiently.

This game triggers my OCD in a pleasant way as time flies by without notice.

Forget "Heroes of Might and Magic VI" and "VII", this is the best of the best when it comes to turn-based strategy in a fantasy setting with timeless retro graphics. What it lacks in graphical splendor it more than makes up for in the diversity of its playable factions and its mythology inspired army of creatures. Memorable music and a simple to use map editor easily make "HoMM3" the #1 in the entire series.

Also, it's (now) from Ubisoft, but no need for Uplay. That alone should make this worth your while.
