Currently waiting to see if there are improvements, before deciding to refund.

The game generally looks and feels good, with good audible feedback and enjoyable controls except for massive frame drops and the occasional bug.

Even after lowering the graphics settings to medium and even low, with a resolution of 1600x900, there"s a wide range of FPS values, from 80-90s to 10 whenever a small swarm of enemies, explosions or even just a relatively crowded area appears. The very first boss tanks frames to the point of being static at times.

The bugs include being stuck on loading a saved game, and getting a black screen upon talking to a weapons merchant in the very first area after the tutorial mission.

It"s honestly a shame, given how beautifully crafted the game is and how appealing the general gameplay feedback is. If the performance issues were to be solved, it is likely this could be a very good game but as it stands, all the enjoyment of playing it is cut short by the terribly optimized performance.

I would also love to be able to play with more species than just human, but that"s neither here nor there for this particular subject.
