Incredibly fun, no-BS Quake experience. The community is small, but active, and very friendly. Most other players are happy to share help/tips if you ask. Quake Live's gameplay is simple to understand for a dummy like me, but difficult to master, and very rewarding. It feels great when you hit a mid-air rocket or a tricky rail flick. Highly recommend!

Incredible game — perhaps even my new favourite of all time. Everything about this game cuts so deep and makes you think hard about your next move. The main plot, side quests, the dialogue, acting, the art, the sound design... it's all so damn cool. Even the achievements poke fun at you.

I was completely captivated by the game within just a few minutes, and every time I picked it up, I ended up playing for hours on end. I just finished it last week and I haven't stopped thinking about it. A second playthrough is almost certainly in the cards.

Beautiful game. The best typography I've ever seen in a video game, by far. Fantastic, immersive writing. Great, complex characters that make you *feel*. Presents you with decisions that are actually hard to make, even if you see them coming from a mile away.

The only slight annoyance I had was that after a while it can be a bit of a tedious walking simulator, especially if you want to explore all your options.

Very easy to pick up--the learning curve is in how you play, and doesn't require you to master any controls. Highly recommend.

Sometimes you just want to play a game that can't frustrate you. I played this game all the way through on my Steam Deck one evening, and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Calm, to-do-list gameplay in an enchanting world with characters that are the right amount of goofy.

Fantastic, gritty star wars story with gameplay that holds up incredibly well even into 2022!

I have fond memories of playing a portable version of 1.6 on school computers. We'd all load it up during class and play matches through the local network. So much fun. I recommend all counter-strike fans try the original, and maybe revisit it from time to time.

Spiritfarer has the resource management gameplay of animal crossing and the vibe of a studio ghibli movie. Relaxing and easy to pick up.
