Sony has walked back their PSN requirement. As a result, I'm giving this game the positive review it deserves.

I've always had a soft spot for PvE games and modes, and Helldivers 2 is probably the PvE game for me now. Not mode; game. There will be others, sure, but HD2 takes the cake. Gameplay can be a little wonky at times - it's a hundred-person crew, give or take, so I don't have too much blame to pin on them, but at times it makes for an endearing experience; at others, remarkably frustrating.

The atmosphere in and out of the game is something else. Nowhere else have I seen a community so united, and, in recent times, so much so against a corporation to the point that we have forced them to reconsider their approach.

You ♥♥♥♥♥♥' go, Helldivers. Managed Democracy calls.

A blood-fueled shooter that slaps harder than DOOM: Eternal. Not that Eternal is inferior, this is just Eternal with jet engines strapped to it.

EDIT 2023-03-17: P-2 is an incredible gauntlet and is already undergoing optimization. I welcome the challenge.

EDIT 2022-10-21: I've P-Ranked every level in Act 1 and 2, P-1 included. Eagerly awaiting the next round of levels.

An outstanding HL2 mod, let alone a sequel to its brilliant preceding title. A double-dose of everything that made E:Z1 great, from the changes to the gunplay to the blockbuster-esk writing. The characters are played perfectly, and despite the recurring deviation from the silent protagonist norm of the main series, both 3650/Bad Cop and the new characters that appear in this entry are wonderfully done. All the thanks in the world to Breadman for spawning this amazing experience.

A delightful expansion of the 2013 release, packed to the brim with entertaining and intriguing moments. Finding them all has given me the same joy and surprise I could only dream of getting from the original entry, having spoiled myself early on.

As amazing as this experience has been, however, there is a time where things must come to an end, and come the evening of Monday, March 2, 2022, I will be leaving Ultra Deluxe on for the entirety of the following Tuesday. After that? Ten years spent away from TSP. See you all then.

While having never played a Halo game outside of Reach via the MCC, Infinite's MP is a blast. The gameplay is pretty fluid and the graphics are perfectly fine, but the challenge-based progression feels hellishly slow.

EDIT: 2022-05-11 - Challenges seem far less irritating than they seemed at launch. The smaller mini-events that run alongside the main battlepass are their own delightful little bags of goodies, too.

A love letter to the Ace Combat series - particularly Ace Combat: Zero - that rivals the latest release of AC7 in execution, made all the more impressive that the whole project was put together by a whopping *three* people.

A cool spin on the usual Portal experience ala Thinking With Time Machine, IIRC. Having the third portal/second world takes a while to wrap your head around, but once things start to fit into place, solving the puzzles feels amazing. Devs have done an amazing job, and aside from a small visual quirk during a scripted event, this thing has been perfect thus far.

ETA: Just finished the game. Neat execution of the ending, though there was a little visual jankiness that, while not detracting from the experience whatsoever, definitely shows just where most of the time and effort spent went. Still, well-designed, overall!
