This is one of the best retro-arcade racing games I ever tried, even throwing me back to my Daytona USA days with its vibrant and square-esque aesthetic while still feeling brand new, the soundtrack is nice but it isn't GREAT as we are used to in racing games, it certainly would benefit from the same style of music as Asphalt 8 (for example), being able to choose between 4 different genres of music.

There are secret stats for each car that are not shown in the car's menu, the AI rubber-banding it's really awful but it's a great gameplay overall with its drift-and-boost mechanic being really polished and balanced (except for the fact of using all your boost in the final lap and getting a free win being a thing), 3 difficulties to choose from and many tracks, 4 styles to use in cars (velocity, acceleration, drifting and balanced), various camera angles, etc.

As from the content in the game, getting plat is really difficult, but it is not a difficulty that comes to satisfy. The only thing to unlock are achievements and customization for the characters and cars, which ARE good but feel hollow to me for some reason. I'd like to get new characters and cars by advancing in the game, maybe in a new story mode or a greater campaign, the characters already have a personality, why not make them interact between them in a story?

Overall, it's a great arcade game with not much to uncover and great (I mean really great) visuals which I've not seen in any recent game, it's a 8/10, greatly recommended.

EDIT
oh and the gamepad being able to be re-binded would be a great addition =P
