Hacknet is a game where player takes the role of a hacker in search of the mysterious story of Bit, another hacker.

For those that came looking for an experience similar to Uplink, I would say for the experience you get in Uplink, Hacknet definitely nailed it. Differences being that Hacknet is more terminal oriented and is more story oriented.
Instead of comparing the game to Uplink, Hacknet can be compared to "Digital: A Love Story", which is also a hacker, story driven game.

Another strong point of Hacknet is the story. The story drives the entire game. It starts slowly, but gets progressively more and more tense, starting to put your abilities to the limit, especially at the end *wink wink*
