A russian commander has spotted a Ukrainian soldier in the village and sends a small detachment to kill him. Shots are fired, but the russian soldiers do not return. The commander decides to move the platoon to the village. Several loud explosions, machine-gun fire, but the russians did not return. The commander of the russian BTG, hearing this, decides to send the entire BTG to the village. Two hours of explosions, volleys of guns, erratic radio transmissions, and then silence on the radio. An hour later, a wounded russian soldier crawls up to his own and reports with his last breath:

                             "Don't go to the village. It is a trap. There are two of them."
