A Dearly Misunderstood and Mistreated Classic

Batoop, or for those with a life; GBO2, is a game that is my favorite in the competitive 5v5 PVP ruleset.

Now despite that, let me tell you why I can't in good faith recommend you to play this while simultaneously also wanting you to play it.
  • Lack of players at anything lower than A-/B (The competitive or ranked metric, ranging from D- to S-)
  • Abhorrent net-code/networking
  • Rancid monetization
  • Extremely limited information and utilities for improving at the game without a mentor or friend
  • Poor balancing for modern/high rarity suits

Now, despite all of that, you may notice I still have this game labeled at recommended. Why you may ask? That's because the game is absolutely free and if this game really is a game for you, which it most *CERTAINLY* is not for everyone, then I highly recommend you at least try it out. There's a lot to love about batoop and there's a lot more to be said about being able to play your favorite little guy from various gundam series vs the suit they fought in the shows. If you can find a community of people to play with together then the game is just that much sweeter too.

GBO2 was mistreated for it's PC launch, and even now it still suffers from a lack of improvements to the game and a schedule that is a few months behind it's mother platform on the PlayStation consoles. That being said, it really is worth a few minutes out of your day to see if it's worthy of your attention and/or fixation. Alongside that, if you've got a PS5 (or a PS4 god forbid you want to tread through the dreaded 20 - 30 FPS GBO2) then it's FAR more recommended by me, I've had nothing but positives about the native PS5 release, save for maybe wishing the monetization wasn't rotten.

So what's the TL:DR?

Give it a try, it's free to play after all. If you got a PS5, even moreso. Just be a little patient with it at the start. It gets so good when you get into it.

P.S.
You didn't hear this from me, but between you, me and the fence post... learn to master the Geara Doga. You'll decimate and climb ezpz on 500 queues.

Good Luck, and remember you can cancel your melee swings with boost! Happy hunting!~
