For players who can't find the DLC items, please check the public chest in your camp. You should see two different bags/chest within it, one containing the extra supplies, and the other with the dagger, cape, mask and all that.

The Dice skin can be changed while you're rolling your dice, just look for an icon at the bottom-left corner, and change the skin over there.

As for the music, I haven't played a bard, but I think it should be one of the music that you can choose when you're trying to play an instrument (I think there's also a music-box that plays DOS2's main theme, I could be wrong on this tho).

The chorus at the last part really struck me, almost made me tear up for some reason despite that I've left the game mid-way for almost a year... Would listen to it once more (insert thumbs up emoji here)
Overall a very short but relaxing game, and it leaves a deep impression. Very artistic.

虽然近一年前中途离开了游戏,但再次回来把剩下的部分玩完后。。。最后那个交响乐真是赞!画风和音乐都让人很放松,谁说游戏不能是艺术的?(滑稽)

Create your own character, or use an existing officer, and conquer the land of ancient China (as well the hearts of some fellow beauty <3). It's kind of a paradise you know, apart from the dated graphics, but this also meant that it runs smoothly at constant 60 FPS lol.

Although it's been a long time since I have played this game, but I still like this game nonetheless.

TL:DR (Some are not written in the extended version):

Highly customizable combat styles/movesets
Customizable weapons (Katana and Spear)
Character creation
Unlockable contents through playthroughs (character faces, clothes, accessories, hairstyle, etc.)
10 alternative endings (depends on player's choices throughout the playthrough)
Some weird-but-fun/funny mini games
DLCs all included (for free)

= Combat is all 1 vs 1 style (some people like this, some do not, as it is not so realistic)
= Speech bubbles in mid-combat (depends on people as well)
= Not open world
= Pistol and Musket are included as weapons (will need to unlock/learn how to use them though)
= "Unbreakable" guns are just OP

- Requires much grinding to achieve everything in a specific category
- Graphic not the best (game is 6 years old now, what do you expect)
- Limited character creation choice (although it's pretty OK for the time it's being made)

** Some people said it's buggy, but I've never ran in to one, so I am not sure about that part. Maybe it depends on the system and hardwares.

The combat is quite fun in a sense, somewhat like the older Assasssin's Creed titles, though it does require some skills (maybe). The number of "skillsets/moves" that you can learn and use in the combat is just huge, and you can even create your own "school" of moves, and fight with the skill combinations of your own choice. You have to first learned those skills in order to incorporate them in to your own school, which totally makes sense anyway.

You can pick up the weapons that your enemies dropped upon their death and sell them, which is similiar to Skyrim. Although you don't have a weight limit on you, you are limited in how many weapons you can carry at once, and I think that's like 10 or 20 weapons. However, you can start fights near the blacksmith so that you can kill all the enemies, and then sell all their weapons and suddenly be flowing with funds lol.

The weapons are also custommizable, where you can find the blade, grip, and another part (forgot the part's name) of your choice and combine them to form a new katana/spear. Sometimes these parts will have "charms" on them, and when combined in the correct formats, these "charms" will grant your weapon abilities that you can then exploit. Having three "Life & Death" charm on a katana with the "Unbreakable" praise is just OP. Play the game to see what it does lol.

Praise is something that you can give your weapon once it reaches specific requirements. For "Unbreakable", the very blade you want it to have this praise will have to break 100 times before it can recieve this praise, but it's worth it. There are also ways to fasten up the speed of breaking your sword so that you can aquire the praise in like... half an hour I think, though conditions may apply.

Other than the fun combat system, this game have 10 endings in total, and you can unlock a bunch of stuff (character faces, clothes, hairstyles, accessories, etc.) as you finish the game over and over again, making each New Game Plus different from the previous playthrough. For example, you can see the character you previously used walking in the streets when you are in a new playthrough. Which is very interesting as I have never seen this feature in other games before. Some unloackable contents require specific actions to be made before allowing you access to those contents, for example, in order to unlock a specific main female NPC's clothes and whatnot, you need to date her and successfully "slept" with her once in this playthrough. The unlocked content stays unlocked, so you can access it in later playthroughs when you are creating a new female character.

Some other good things about the game is that it does not have loot boxes, and you get all the DLCs at the same time. However, since there aren't loot boxes, many of the stuffs will require grinding. If you want all achievements, or all movesets, or all weapons etc., you will need to grind excessively, though you're already "grinding" anyway with different playthroughs.

Edit: After playing it for a while, I edited it to get rid of some mistakes I made at the 2-hour playing when I previously wrote the review.

TL: DR
- Open world element is okay although obviously lacking in many things
- Play style and progression depends on how players want to play, so you can go for assassination by flipping over every wall straight to the heart of the forts; or go berserk and take out every single enemy before finishing the objectives
- Face textures/meshes are very good, but not so with other things (under Photo mode)
- Can pin materials for easier collection
- Side missions hard to grasp at first, but eventually becomes okay
- Aggressive AIs on hard, as far as I've experienced
- Weapons are between 35~50 types
- Combat is ok, depends on what you're after in the combats when comparing to previous DWs. Previous DW's combat relieves stress to an extent, and the new combat isn't as good on that, but it gives more varieties in a way. I do wish that the two combat systems can get combined in a way for an experience that suit both kinds of players.
- Hilarious horse riding, but kind of fun to watch at times. Chinese dub is ok, at least not bad.
- Waiting for new DLCs

To be Honest, I feel the "Open World" element is OK, although it's obviously not as fleshed out as games like Assassin's Creed: Origins and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt (Not even on the same galaxy comparatively). This might be because that KT is doing open world for the first time (CDPR was also first-time :P), but this world is lacking in many things to make it feel alive. It seems like KT is still stuck in their previous mindset of making a few NPCs standing here and there when making towns/cities. This led to the somewhat empty world that's full of materials and wild wandering animals that doesn't really do much. And by this, I mean that the wolves in the game only attacks the player and (maybe) his "army", but completely ignoring the deer nearby. On the other hand, ACO have hippos that can kill every other animal regardless of what they are if they get too close, predators hunt for their preys and actually sit there to eat XD

The animals are quite lame in some sense, and the wolf packs are pretty overpowered (which is nice isn't it XD), along with some random soldiers/bandits standing in the wild doing nothing (so DW-like, those wandering soldiers). However, since open world meant that the game gave the players their own choice to interact with the missions and all that, so yes you can go directly to the officer you have to defeat and burst him or her up by exploiting the endless combo-attacks with the newly implemented system, or you can also take a step back, relax and chop down every single enemy that's blocking your way until you finally reached the "boss" and burst him/her/them down as well. If you want to play like an assassin, go for it; flip over the walls for an assassination. If you want to go berserk, go for it; chop down as many enemies as you want to before you deal the final blow. However, by going the assassination path, you’ll have to be at a pretty high level and with some good gears to not get burst down by the enemy officer tho. By finishing side quests, you lower the levels of the enemies literally (lvl.23 to lv.15, say), and thus makes the battle easier to win.

There’s now a photo mode, and I can now capture the beauty of the characters up close, or from some distance and angles away :D Just an example: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1360922314
Typical R18 games' scene???

Fishing is weird in its own sense. I’ve fished up some ancient coins that’s essential if you want to get a better weapon from one of the merchants, so yeah, go fishing once in a while. I've gathered some materials, and it's good that you can pin the materials you need to find, and the material section of the map will display your pinned materials with a yellow color so that you can find them on the world map (all materials share the same icon, all plants-related share the same icon, from what I've seen now). It is pretty handy if you are trying to find a specific material out of that many materials that are labeled on the map, but I don’t think you can pin animal goods for this. You can pin it, but it won’t display on the world map.

The side missions can be hard to get the hang of it when you're playing it for the first time. But after a while or so, you kind of figures out that you can pin the side missions, you can teleport to a place/ally squad leader near the mission area, where are the bandits/soldiers you need to defeat for a specific mission, where are the plants you need for a specific mission, and etc. But it's hard to grasp at first, so try to keep calm for the first one and a half hour, more or less. One thing that’s evidence that KT did not spent that much time polishing this world is that most of the time, the objectives (mostly enemies of some sort) are all together, so that you can get all the side missions in the city, go to the place where they’re all gathered, and kill them all, or get killed. Then you can return to the city and claim all your rewards one by one. Saves a lot of time like this.

The AIs are pretty aggressive on Hard mode (the one I'm playing now, will try Chaos sometime later after I get Zhao Yun), and they can sometimes burst a wave of attack and send you back to the previous checkpoint (Got killed twice now XD Once by a bunch of weirdoes using darts, and once by the wolf packs. My health went blank super-fast probably because of my low level). Basically the AIs have very high attacks and at the same time very high HP, so yeah... Have fun trying to mow them down when you’re at a low level :P (High level is a different story tho)

Weapon variety had upset many fans/previous fans, which is understandable because many of their favorite character's iconic weapon, and along with it, its iconic play style is now gone. So does the coop mode and kind-of for the free mode. Although there isn't a remedy for that, but at least they still had some variety of weapons (I think it's around 35~50 types of weapon. Haven't counted the exact number)

The Combat system is quite good after you get used to it. Takes around a few minutes to learn, but after that, it’s like an alternative form of the previous button-smashing DW games lol. One thing that’s a love/hate for me is the animation tho. They do have some cool fighting animations now, but gets repetitive sometimes because no matter which combo you’re starting out, it kinds of always ends the same. For previous DW, at least you can alternate the animation by pressing fewer X (□) or Y (△) to change your attack, but DW9 doesn’t seem to do that. Many animations are now shared, with just different lighting effects. However, it’s still fun to mow down hundreds of soldiers with these combats, and instead of smashing two buttons, you now have to smash three to four buttons XD

Horse riding lmao. That autopilot keeps crashing through objects that shouldn't allow horses to crash through, and the horse always bump into walls, but I like that the horses can now sprint without using the musou gauge. It's fun to watch how the horse struggle against the walls and hoping that It can crash through the fortified walls before it eventually finds a way out XD

Storywise the Chinese dub is fine, judging from the lines that I've heard in-game for now. Haven't tried the Japanese and English dub, but might try them out sometime later. At least they finally have a Chinese dub now, so, not bad man. Not bad at all XD

The game have potentials, and I await to see if there will be more contents coming related on filling up the somewhat emptiness of this open world.

P.S. I think the game should be in the genre of "Open Map" instead of "Open World" because of it's lack in many of the things that make it feel like a world... On this regard, I'd say that Way of the Samurai 4 did a better job than Koei Tecmo XD

For people who.can't install, restart Steam, or manually go to the download section where games updates, and download yourself.

没有自动下载的,重启Steam或者手动去游戏更新那个界面自己下载。

Just half an hour or so into the DLC, by far I think it's worth the price for just even the maps added, the new outfit, and the phylakety (I think this is spelled incorrectly). Not to mention the mounts and weapons that I've heard would be in here. I can finally see Aya again :D

First review after the first "play-through":
Wtf?! Wtf?! Wtf?!!!
*Real* happy-ending, and the warning is real , man XP
Girls are cute in their ways, but beware of your choices.
Literally the only piece of advice I can give without spoiling the game.
Absolutly going to revise this after the second play-through.
Now let me try the other endings...

edit #1:
READ THE INTRO OF THIS GAME ON STEAM FIRST B4 U PLAY!!!!!

edit #2: OMG Monica's second poem lol. I finally understood what it meant after finishing the first playthrough. Hope I didn't spoil anything over here. The differences of this poem in different paths... Amazing, man.

edit #3: Still figuring how to get to the "true" ending... I think I'm just repeating my past paths in different ways now... Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. And btw, it's best not to have read any comments/reviews before starting the game, although this sounds like bs judging by that this sentence is in the comments/reviews zone lmao.

Well, my first game that I got the Platium Achievement on :D
I like this concept of bio-mutation very much, and I like the style of this series. However, I do wish they can come up with a Prototype 3 (although I've heard that Radiocal is not doing it), and the last boss fight is just BS. There can also be more variety of the execution animation, but it's fine to stay at where it is now.

Contains some minor spoilers below (does in-game abilities' effect counts as spoilers?):

Pro: (for people who likes this kind of games)
You feel like a bad-ass destroyer XD
Multiple mutations
Bloody fights
Brawlers looked cute for some reason (no idea why)
You can kind-of fly/glide around
Optional side activities
Some nice execution animations

** With Radnet pack you can get Alex Mercer's appearance/model (Play as Alex) after you completed those side activities

Neutral: (Depends on how people view it)
# Battle is easy, you can always counter-and-win
# Hard to die just because of the consumptions and self-heal, as well as the shield
# Execution-animation is limited
# Types of enemies are limited

Cons: (Maybe cons?)
- Too much swearing (just too much)
- Plot is very predictable (although I don't think there's taht many people playing this game for the plot XD)
- There needs to be a place where you are surrounded by tons of mutated monsters trying to kill you, and you have to slash your way in and out of it XD (In other words, Red Zone should be much more dangerous)
- There's no Prototype 3
- There's no Prototype 3
- There's no Prototype 3

** Three repetition for importatn things :(
