I've been an avid Counter-Strike player for years, dedicating countless hours to honing my skills in CS. With the release of CS2, I had high hopes for an improved experience, but unfortunately, it has been nothing short of a disappointment.

First and foremost, the cheating problem in CS2 is out of control. Every other game seems to be plagued by cheaters, making it nearly impossible to enjoy a fair match. Valve's anti-cheat system feels ineffective, and the prevalence of hackers severely undermines the competitive integrity of the game.

Secondly, the content in CS2 is severely lacking compared to CSGO. It feels like a stripped-down version of its predecessor, with fewer maps and a noticeable absence of the community-created content that made CS
so rich and diverse. The lack of variety makes the game feel repetitive and stale much faster than it should.

The movement mechanics in CS2 are another major issue. The fluid and precise movement from CS
has been replaced with clunky and unresponsive controls. This makes it difficult to perform maneuvers that were second nature in CSGO (bhopping, surfing, edge bug, etc.) significantly diminishing the overall gameplay experience.

Subtick is another area where CS2 falls short. The subtick system, intended to improve hit registration, seems to have the opposite effect. Shots that should clearly hit don't register, leading to frustrating and inconsistent gameplay. This problem is further compounded by the peekers advantage, which feels more pronounced in CS2. Players peeking corners have a significant upper hand, making defensive play much less viable.

In conclusion, CS2 is a step backwards in many regards. The rampant cheating, lack of content, poor movement mechanics, ineffective subtick system, and exacerbated peekers advantage all contribute to a deeply frustrating experience. As someone who loved CS, I am profoundly disappointed with the direction CS2 has taken. Valve needs to address these critical issues if they hope to win back the trust and enthusiasm of their dedicated player base.

Until then, CS2 remains a frustrating shadow of its predecessor.
