Action? Base-building? RPG-like progression?

This game has all these elements in stride. It's a great casual game to pick up for a few hours of gaming with just enough challenge to make defeating bosses or designing your castle feel satisfying.

Would definitely recommend, especially for the price!

Half Life 2 VR is an incredibly good port. Half Life is already such an atmospheric game and playing it in VR makes it doubly engaging. It's incredible that it got made by the community and is available for free.

Reading reviews and watching videos I was skeptical about this game at first, decided to just download and play a single round...

Six rounds later it's almost 2am and I'm drawn to write a positive review immediately after playing.

Let's just say I'm looking forward to playing it again soon.

This game was released in 2012; it still plays incredibly well. The learning curve is still a challenge, and the player base can be hit or miss, but I find myself coming back to this game time and time again.

One of the most engaging roguelikes I've played. The combat mechanics are deep and versatile with different items and abilities leading to entirely distinct play styles. It can definitely be an unforgiving, but every play through makes it feel like you're learning and improving. Highly recommended.

This game checks a lot of the right boxes and is crazy fun with friends.

For when you can't play with a group, it's easy to find a match online and folks are super amiable.

Divinity Original Sin 2 is a large improvement over the original. They really focused on the best parts of the game and let them shine.
I enjoyed:
- A classless leveling system let's you create really fun interactions between different skills/mechanics in the game. You can create combinations that make you feel like a powerhouse.
- Free respeccing after Act I let's you remain flexible.
- Beautiful graphics
- Well done voice acting
- Sprinkled bits of humour.
- Sense of progress, and how the game world scales around you. It progressively leads to more epic battles from simple beginnings.
- Mechanics. This is a bit of double-dipping, but they've done a wonderful job tying together how the world/spells/skills interacts with each other.

Things I wish they'd improve on:
- A better quest log system. If you stop playing the game for a few months, you'll totally forget what in the world you were supposed to be doing. The quest log can often be too vague. A few quests do come with map markers, which is helpful, but feels lacking.
- Cheesy respeccing of civil skills, along with the fact that certain quests/dialog options are totally gatekeeped by passing a persuasion checks. This encourages a behavior where you teleport back to the respec mirror _just_ to pass some interaction or some check. If respeccing is free, I feel they could simplify the civil skill system.
- It's very difficult to know if an item will be incredibly important, or completly inconsequential leading to inventory quickly growing in size.
- Crafting system. It's a nice add, but just feel a bit tacked on. It's not a necessity, but you won't get anything crazy out of it (save for a few special items obtained through quests).

It's been years since I've played the original source mod of Insurgency, but playing this release is really a call back to form. It's a great hardcore replacement for traditional FPS. Following a more realistic but similar formula to CS:S, Insurgency has grounded itself in its own special roots - things like weapon customization, no crosshairs, and very unique weapon dynamics all make it stand out. It also solves a very time-old problem of everyone in the team going Sniper by having certain roles (Marksman, Support, Recon, etc.) to fill in a squad. If you like FPSs with a hint of realism of them, this one is sure to give you some good adrenaline rushes.

I used to play NEOTOKYO competitively back in the day, and now that its back I'm glad to see its receiving such a large wave of support. It combines cyberpunk with FPS mechanics, a class system, and weapon progress to great success. I'd recommend it to any of my friends!
