I haven't played the school sim part, (though I've heard its quite well done), I've really only used it as a glorified 3d modeling software for character generation, and in that regard this is honestly one of the best games on Steam. The customization options are off the charts, with the card system offering incredibly easy integration of third party designs for characters, environments, and animations. Then the CharaStudio mode is straightforward and intuitive for creating your own scenes, letting you tweak every facet of the models and poses to your liking. If you can imagine it, you can make it.
