Unless you can't read game titles for whatever reason, you should notice that the objective of this game couldn't be more obvious. If you are willing to spend hours and hours killing dinosaurs and dragons, then this game may be for you.

Did I mention that cats in this game can be 5 star chefs?

This game is a jewel to those who love fighting games. It's hard to learn, however, so expect to spend a lot of time hitting the lab if you even want to get decent at it. Luckily, the tutorial and the missions can help you understand better the mechanics that this game has.

For the more casual players, no need to worry. This game can also be enjoyed by doing basic combos or playing in Stylish mode. Not to mention that fighting against the CPU is fun too.

The online is quite dead, however.

On a more aesthetic side, the game looks fantastic. Its beautiful cel-shaded models are so well elaborated that I at first thought they were sprites back when the SIGN version came out in 2014. The music is also high quality material and really badass.

This is a true masterpiece. My final verdict is a solid 10/10.

Ok, this will be a long review, but I will try to cover all the information you need before you buy it.

I had the original PS3 version of this game. Loved it even though I got stuck in Chapter 7 back then.
Somehow, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I found out this game was on Steam, with all the DLC and for $20 (although by the time I'm writing this, the game is less than $10 on the store). I HAD to get it. It is the masterpiece I remember buying a decade ago. Now that I could beat the chapter I couldn't originally beat, I'm enjoying the hell out of this game.

Gameplay is fun, but will punish you if you play recklessly. Some people may have to restart in some parts as you can lose units for not knowing what's on the field and sometimes the enemy can appear out of nowhere. This is fine. Just make sure you save often, or more specifically, right after you do a
great move so that you don't lose a lot of progress. I also recommend using orders often as they can actually save your life or avoid making the game harder than necessary. They are there for a reason and I believe they will make your A ranks hunting a lot easier. I would save getting high ranks for New Game , however, since you can only play each story mission once in your first playthrough.
Also, whether you wanna buy an order the old man at the cemetery has at the moment or not is up to you. I personally do since you never know when they can be useful. That would mean that you will have less experience to train your units until you beat another chapter or skirmish, however, so think carefully.

Another feature I really like that wasn't present in the original version (for obvious reasons) is the ability to use a controller and keyboard & mouse at the same time. I use the controller to move units, and the mouse to aim, making the latter far less tedious.

My only complaint is that I read on a forum that story missions don't have a difficulty setting and that the Hard Mode that comes with this game are for skirmishes only (tho people say it is still worth it as those skirmishes on hard mode are said to be really difficult).

My final verdict for this port is a 9/10. Absolutely get it, especially since it is on sale right now.

I like this game, but it's definitely not the best fighting game you can find on Steam.

The game is hella fun, has a good cast and both the effects and graphics are nice.
The difficulty is okay. It's easy to learn, but very hard to master. Sure, it may not be as brutal as GG or Tekken, but mastering it can still be quite a challenge.

The game is not flawless, however. Mainly due to the lack of content. It also lacks players, which is personally a bad thing on a fighting game. Not even in Ranked match I could find a single opponent. Online play is the main reason why I buy a fighting game nowadays. And lacking players definitely lowers my thoughts of it.

Overall rating: 7.5/10

I'm giving the game a positive review. Just keep in mind the cons I wrote. I would suggest buying it only on discount or if you really are a fan of the games/media the cast is originally from.

If you enjoyed this on the gamecube, you will probably buy it without doubt. To make it better, it is on HD now. 10/10

Early Access Review
Taking back what I said years ago, this game actually sucks. Severely lacks content and the little fun it has goes away in a matter of minutes. This is coming from someone who enjoys the show for the most part.
