TL;DR: David Fifield is the worst thing that has ever happened and should be fired.

I really used to love this game, i have 3,3k hours in hunt and it had been my main and favourite game to play daily for years up until around 6 months ago, and i have to say that (for me) in the last year or two, probably since the regen shot buff if not earlier, hunt has started losing its soul at a slow but steady rate, and the new engine update + this new update are the final nails in the coffin for me.

All crytek has done is slowly make the game more and more like CoD just to appeal to a wider audience while slowly putting the old one in the background. I see people on socials saying "this is good if you don"t like it then don"t play it", of course you find it good, most likely because this is the hunt you fell in love with in the first place, what i fell in love with was a game where listening, tactics, pure game/map knowledge and even reading your enemies and predicting them were all really powerful tools, and where every single mistake was hard to recover from, i even liked the attrition fights. All they"ve done is changes that have been exponentially more stupid the more time has passed, and i"m not talking about like a couple of bad balance changes, i"m talking about 6+ months worth of entire updates that have FUNDAMENTALLY changed the way hunt is played, so many of these changes have accumulated over the years and have slowly mutated the game in what is in my opinion a way lesser version of itself.

I remember waiting for updates with anticipation wondering what it would bring to spice everything up, but now when i look at patch notes i get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stroke by reading them because of how stupid they are. I"d prefer seeing my favourite game ever just stay as it was a year ago forever instead of seeing it become the next example of how devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up once again.
