Great gameplay, engaging story, and man do the moments where RedCandle reminds us they made horror games before go hard.

I can"t even speak on the game design side of things. Lack of settings for graphics and mouse sensitivity make the game almost unplayable. Game stutters more than a kid with a speech impediment.

The game itself feels like an exploration game with a Lovecraftian Fishing coat of paint. Doesn"t really do anything special with the lovecraftian themes I feel, and the fishing is serviceable. A solid experience I think can be enjoyable, and has a good amount of content if you enjoy the fishing aspects of the game and are looking to 100% it. I completed the base game and dlcs within 12 hours of gameplay, but I feel I could get an extra 20 hours or so if I wanted to 100% the game.

Pretty solid addition that was fun to have as a part of my first experience with the game, adding an extra layer. Anticlimactic ending though, I feel even a small new area for a finale would allow it to stick a lot more.

I don"t really feel this DLC "fits in" all that much with the game. It has some nice things that are added but it doesn"t evolve all that much as you progress through it, and the challenge the area itself presents is negligible if you have any kind of speed increase.

Weird implementation of a "DLC". Feels misleading and not implemented in a satisfying way.

Great fun and humor, genuine fear moments, always something new that keeps me engaged and hooked.

The *ONLY* major gripe I have is the lack of any jumping for Dynos. Outside having to fight for control over the limbs when slipping (which, while annoying, is a realistic experience) I don"t think I"ve played any other climbing game that made me feel like I was actually rock climbing. Peaks of Yore is a close second, but the momentum and reliance on big jumps in peaks of yore knocks it down a peg in realism (great game though, do go check it out). If they improve the jumping in this game it will be as close as perfect as you can get.

While this game looks very nice, I feel like it being a roguelite cripples it more than it helps. Playing the game on the hardest difficulty, it feels like the meta-progression isn"t something that makes the game easier, but rather a requirement to reach the statistical thresholds needed to get through the fights. Without many of the upgrades, actually finishing a run isn"t a skill issue as much as a numerical impossibility. Outside upgrades, there"s nothing in between runs to keep things interesting or motivation going besides more meta-progression upgrades.
