Worth it on sale, worth it without sale. One of a very finite pool of games that have ever existed with enough well-put-together and entertaining content that it's worth the price regardless.

If you don't have friends, there's a huge community; and the precedent of discord has made it even easier to connect with others.

if you never care to play with another soul, there is enough challenging and intriguing content here to easily spend thousands of hours in.

Even if you're so hesitant that you think you won't like it, consider the 2 hour refund limit.. because you'll easily find yourself lost within the game, well beyond the two hour limit, and by that point will have learned just how genuinely enjoyable the game is: you won't regret the purchase either way.

A quintessential part of any sensible person's Steam library.

No. Backtracking, security issues, obligatory PSN link, broken servers constantly, wildly varying nerfs and buffs that introduce constant game breaking bugs, toxic devs.. the list goes on. Theres plenty of other great games to invest in and play, pass hard on hd2
