Decided to actually try and write a legit review for this game, however as i play a heavily modded game i have only a hundred or so hours of playtime without mods, so i'll be talking about this game as if i used my mod list of 375 mods! So let's start it off with the graphics: They are a bit basic at first glance but as you play you'l notice how well everything is put together, how every animal and weapon looks beautiful but simple, many mods, yes i'm looking at you Vanilla Expanded, capture this art style to a T, and many other mods, while they may not always follow the art style to a T seem to fit naturally into the game! On to gameplay! When starting out you'll need to pick a storyteller and generate a planet, now with all the biome mods i have i'll say the best vanilla one would be an Temperate Forest (Modded is Blighted Ashlands for the challenge), it's easy enough to start in and will most likely contain everything you need! After choosing your landing point you'll need to generate some characters, or in my case use Prepare Carefully and make them, afterwards your goal is to survive and try and escape the planet, but why do that when with mods like Cults and the more recently added Royalty DLC adds new ways for the game to end! Raids will come attack your base based on your wealth and how long you've survived, at the start it may be one guy with a club but by the end game you'll be dealing with high powered weaponry. Now here's where i talk about one mod that i use a lot more, it's a core mod needed for many others and that'd be: Humanoid Alien Races 2.0, it allows me to have races like the Hive from Kenshi! (A Game i've played a lot of at a friends and will hopefully buy and review soon) to Asari from Mass Effect it truly opens you up to some crazy colonies full of a ton of different species, now i've talked enough, time to make a new save where i make everyone hostile towards me!
