Definitely a step in the right direction for the franchise. New engine, a throwback to the first Operation Flashpoint, and a modern depiction of Arma mechanics. Sure it has its problems, from the lack of content and gameplay features to optimization issues and bugs, but its main purpose remains; to be a foundation for both the developers and the modding community to build upon in the anticipation of Arma 4. I just hope that the inclusion of consoles won't downgrade the experience.
