Wonderful gameplay and post-launch support

Quick and snappy gameplay! Launch day has been a little bit messy, but the games that I've gotten in have been great, and I suspect that it'll be fixed by tomorrow!

Amazing opportunities to think outside of the box, or to teleport the box into the void of space.

HUGE DISCLAIMER: The keyboard controls for this game are useless outside of menu navigation because there isn't a way to make your character choose which direction to move or shoot with keyboard controlls. DO NOT buy this game unless you have a gamepad, and do not play multiplayer unless you have a gamepad for each player.

This is a great local multiplayer game with a simple premise and satisfying execution. Shootouts are based on quick decision-making and reflexes, but the ability to fire slow-moving shielded projectiles offers something in the way for more strategic/defensive play.

The game could definitely use more maps, and it could definitely improve on the ones that are currently in the game. Certain maps restrict player movement very heavily, making it difficult or even impossible to flank or escape from other players. Certain maps will start players off in positions in direct view of 2 or more enemies, so survival just becomes a matter of luck. Fortunately, maps can be individually turned on and off, but turning off the linear/luck based maps leaves only 5 maps in the game. I'd love to see the inclusion of either more maps or some sort of dodge-like mechanic for when players can't escape threats due to map design.


That's all fairly nitpicky though, as the gameplay itself is good enough to make the game enjoyable despite what may occasionally feel unfair.

We need to keep modding alive.

This product is literally useless. Because of the Games for Windows Live Shutdown, you won't be able to play as any of the DLC characters even if you own the DLC. The fact that they're selling a completely non-functional DLC for 20 dollars is baffling. Fortunately, because all of the DLC characters for this game are already in the original game's files, so you can just mod them in instead of having to deal with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Good God, I cannot recommend this game enough. This game has amazing gameplay and has an extremely strong atmosphere. The gameplay mechanics, story, music, and online elements all help to create this wonderful story of disconnection and loneliness. I don't want to spoil too much, just know that it's worth a buy.

If you're buying this DLC, be aware that you're buying it for the character. The mask is lazy, the gun is subpar compared to other bullpups like the FAMAS, and the melee is subpar. The character lines are excellent, but there are some bugs with his lines not playing correctly. I'd wait to pick this up until it's on sale.
