To start off, buy the game: it's cheap and it achieves the zen experience.

That being said, while it's certainly a very breezy experience, I feel like I could easily get tired of this game after only a few playthroughs - and I don't want to be, the controls and game feel are pretty smooth and it does calm you down.

So, instead of a meditative experience, make it a meditative adventure.

More environment types, more collectible types (maybe?), maybe even tricks, some platforming puzzles, multiplayer (though be careful if you decide to implement text or voice chat - a few select ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ could very easily ruin the vibe), a zen soundtrack or the option to load your own music...

These are just spitballs but I would do anything to not have to stop playing due to loss of interest.

But I'd still buy the game.

Okay, so...

♥♥♥♥ the other two games - flesh out Carnage Cross as much as humanely possible. This is the closest the Twisted Metal fan-base will ever get to a spiritual successor since Sony decided to elbow-drop Twisted Metal for good. Wait until at least 1.0 to keep working on Sanitize or Starglades.

I know some of the suggestions I'm gonna make are already on your roadmap - AND I DON'T CARE. I'll repeat them infinitely into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ VOID if need be.

● ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. DO IT.

● NONE of the vehicles should have auto-aim machine guns - all of their guns should fire directly forward. Auto-aim should be either a power-up or a special ability. With that being said...

● More playable characters and give them SPECIALS - one of the power-up drops should be a Special Weapon power-up unique to that character.

● Any and all projectiles should fire directly from the front of the vehicle. Even if the launchers are located on the sides, have their initial flight path redirect towards the center of the player's camera.

● The movement is a great start but it needs work. Drifting should be held down, not toggled. Boost doesn't feel very fast and should have a larger limit (auto-rechargeable as well.) Turning feels solid but should feel a bit heavier. And where is the jumping? THEM CARS NEED HOPS.

● All the weapons could use better...either particle effects or some kind of visual indicator that they were fired or picked up. If the weapons can fire backwards, there is no clear indication of that and...

● The camera might actually be too close to the vehicle. Need a hotkey to change that.

● The GUI could serve to actually be cleaner. It took me a while to realize that Darkside's machine gun could overheat. Also, if you run out of ammo for a power-up, it should NOT stay in your power-up bay.

● REALLY flesh out those environments! Making certain objects destructible is a great start. Now work on making the destruction more realistic (only destroy sections the player collides into, rubble should have physics and collisions but unload after a while to save performance).

● Cars and environments could look better. However much time and money you're investing into this project,

● Pedestrians. Game needs pedestrians. Killing pedestrians should award health or ammo, maybe at random.

● Environmental hazards? MORE. Hidden secret routes and areas only accessible through destruction and exploration? MORE.

● Have the ability to choose the kind of primary weapon you start off with. Machine gun, shotgun, anti-tank rifle, mini-launchers - and balance them for the play style of your choosing.

You have a solid base, please do not stop working on it. I love it already.

Game is an absolute mindless blast and I would recommend it to anyone to hell and back...

---BUT---

Until they fix the loading screen and multiplayer crashes, you absolutely NEED TO GET THE BPR MODDER AND INSTALL THE MEMORY LEAK FIX (as well as a few other QoL improvements if you want). This destroys the crash and lets you play multiplayer without any hassle.

After that, have fun backing up traffic with all the cars you'll crash.

● Sliding should ABSOLUTELY carry your momentum after a jump.
● You need to be free to look anywhere you want with the camera always above grass level when you slide.
● Ledges should be more rigid. It should NOT be that easy to slide off something, no matter how thin the surface is.
● Holding Space underwater should swim the character up, and crouch should swim down - no one should have to look directly up to rise to the surface.
● Gunjumping should absolutely be kept in the game - but it needs fixing. The gun should halt your velocity in mid-air and continue to lift you up with each successful shot. There's only one shotgun and one revolver that spawn with up to 18 rounds, and assault rifles/SMGs are not nearly as effective at carrying you great distances as either the shotgun or the revolver, and you'd still be required to stay physically on the train for it to move, so better gunjumping can be implemented without breaking the game in favor of the humans.
● On top of that, the AOE when gunjumping off the ground should be a tad bigger so that you don't kill your momentum just because ONE shot didn't register, and on that note...
● Hit detection is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wank. Install more servers in the U.S. and Europe so that zombies can't get a cheap grab on you and every single one of your shots not only hits but pushes them back as well.
● Mimics need nerfing. Take away half the damage and set the pushback so that the explosion sends players flying farther than that of the barrels.
● Option to flip the car is a must.



● I'm still recommending this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. It's the stupidest fun I've ever had. Grab your friends and go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, just be prepared for the jank.
