This is the first ARPG I've ever played and I have to say I struck gold from the get-go...
It's currently one of the best on the market, if you usually play ARPGs getting this game is a no-brainer.
If you are one of the people who want to get into ARPGs this is a great start
due to the fact that the game is so polished in aspect of pretty much everything, gameplay, mechanics and level progression.

The mechanics may seem a little complicated with the 3 bajillion skills, attributes and items there are, not to mention the devotion system and the different classes you can pick,
but if you actually read the descriptions or just glance over and pick the ones with huge power-ups you will most likely be fine.
The start is a bit rough but once you level up a bit you can unlock skills that you can either equip and use in combat either in passive.

In the base game there are 6 classes which you can pick: Soldier, Demolitionist, Occultist, Nightblade, Arcanist and Shaman;
The DLCs add 3 more classes in total: Inquisitor, Necromancer and Oathkeeper;
Once you leveled up enough you can pick up to two classes and become a fused mastery of the classes you picked.
I personally picked Soldier and Arcanist and became a Battlemage for my first build, because I wanted to have a wide variety of skills that are both long-ranged and melee.
I suggest picking the same if you are a new player because it is a very safe and powerful combination in my opinion.
The Devotion System is a beast of its own, to unlock devotion bonuses, you have to restore shrines, which at first can be easily found and restored but once you explore enough and enemies get tougher,
you will mostly find them in dungeons and caves that are full of enemies.
In order to restore said shrines you either have to deal with an extra wave of enemies either give a special item depending on the location of the shrine.

Everytime you level up you get one attribute point, which you can add to either physique, cunning or spirit;
spending points on physique will give you more health and health regen, using them on cunning will give you extra damage and on spirit it will give you extra energy in the bar below,
extra energy regen and energy damage, energy is used by classes that use magic-based attacks like the Occultist and Arcanist;
spending points on any of these three will give you additional health too.
Some items require you to have a specific level or a specific number of points spent on a specific attribute in order to equip them so be wary of that.

The world building is honestly great, I never found myself being lost and the fact that once you explored through an area enough,
you can find portals that send you back to your base and vice-versa, so you won't have to walk through all of that again to reach the next destination.
Also there being two maps, one local map of the world with all the portals and one that's in real time is a genius move.
As of writing this review I still have a long way to the end of the game so im still pretty excited to see what else is there.

You can mostly go through waves or normal enemies with ease but, once you reach a boss you should be careful, because who knows what kind of attacks it will use and if you don't have resistance against that attack you will lose health fast and die (I speak from experience).
Always proceed with caution and be ready to dodge especially in inclosed spaces like caves or dungeons. Dying isn't such a big of a deal either and you can recover some EXP lost if you get back to the place where you died, not to mention that if a boss killed you and you get back to its location, he will be there and you will not lose progress on their health bar.

The replayability of this game is very high due to the fact that you have so many possible combinations of classes weapons and items,
the multiplayer and the DLC content up the replayability factor as well, so if you are here for a fun time you will certainly have a long time too.

The things that I hate about this game are mostly related to optimization rather than gameplay,
for example I noticed that if I select the x64 version when I boot the game every so often I use the shortcut for Steam Overlay the game crashes and I lose progress.
Other aspects about the gameplay that I don't really hate but find mildly annoying are:
most of the dungeons don't have portals and if you deploy a personal portal it doesn't really stay there after you go through it;
there are certain dungeons that require you to craft keys to open gates and proceed further,
but everytime you die and you want to go through that gate again you have to craft another key to open it.
The game is still being worked on with a DLC in the works even after all this time,
which shows the love and compassion the developers have for this game and optimization problems can be tweaked eventually.

Overall Grim Dawn is an excelent ARPG and I recommend it.

It's like GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- but every character is the embodiment OF BOTH Chipp and Slayer,
meaning that every character has the health of Chipp and the damage of Slayer. If you fumble the combo or the neutral it's over, pure definition of glass cannon, it doesn't help that the inputs are literally for babies, meaning that you could still play like a chimp and still win...

This might be a good starter game for a player who wants to get into fighting games but for me nah.

Hi-Fi RUSH is one of the most unique games I've played in my life. I'm not a big fan of rhythm games, nor do I have a sense of rhythm myself; however, I've liked the game so much that I completed it three times and played through the arcade mini-games. I wanted to get all the achievements, but with my lack of rhythm, it's just impossible.

The combat feels great; everything being in sync with the beat makes it even more cool. You can really see the love and passion poured by the developers.
The story feels just like a cartoon you would see growing up; the characters are complex, their personalities blending or clashing with each other depending on their morals and ideals, just like in a cartoon.

The soundtrack is incredible, both the originally composed and the selection of licensed tracks picked for the main events of the story. Being able to turn off the licensed tracks and have them replaced with a similar original track is such a nice touch.

In all honesty, I recommend this game even to the most tone-deaf guy you know because your attacks will always be on beat; you just have to time the last one in a combo. You won't be punished if you aren't on beat; you just won't do as much damage. Easy mode exists for a reason if you struggle with normal mode.

The irony is that the team that worked behind this game ended up with the same fate as the characters in the game: dealing with corruption and poor treatment, Xbox shutting down Tango Frameworks, the studio behind Hi-Fi Rush. Only two months after that announcement, Krafton, another game studio, hired people from Tango and acquired the Hi-Fi RUSH IP from Xbox in order to expand on it. It was such a relief knowing that the studio isn't dead, and I'm excited for a possible sequel to this game.

Early Access Review
I didn't think Hades 1 could be topped but they did it, they made it better, like a whole lot.
They improved almost everything which is wild considering that I believe Hades 1 is perfect.
And even wilder considering that the game is in early access,
the only things that are missing are elements regarding the story, character portraits and models for some characters,
maybe some balance changes but to be honest I wouldn't know.

The only downside is that it's a lot more grindier than the first game,
it takes a lot of time to get all the necessary tools back and a lot harder too.
There are far more areas you can go through than the first game which is really nice,
a lot more features and a lot of new characters, power-ups and weapons as well.
It can be quite overwhelming at first but with time you can grow accustomed.

To me this game, this franchise as a whole is really special,
because of the rogue-like elements that makes it almost impossible to complete in the first run,
making you try again and again with different approaches upon certain situations.
The freedom of choice when it comes to how you want to complete a run, making the game replayable and fun.
Theres a huge number of combinations you can have when it comes to power-ups and weapons,
so I think anyone can find their preferred playstyle.

The intriguing story-telling; I've grown close with the characters and their struggle which can make me a little biased,
but doesn't a story about the daughter of Hades, god of the dead sound cool?
The game doesn't follow the story entirely like how Greek mythology depicts it,
I mean there aren't a lot of stories about Hades either way.
The devs put their own twist on the myth of Hades and his family and turned out to be great.
I am not saying more because i don't want to spoil the story.

The soundtrack is really good, can't really say anything about it,
Supergiant Games are known for high quality soundtracks so this isn't much of a surprise.

The way that everything synergizes perfectly in this neat little package is incredible,
to me this game is the best in it's genre and it could be to you as well only time can tell.

I hope anyone remotely interested gives it a shot, if it catches you it will never leave,
literally, I'm obsessed with this franchise.

If you did buy this game, good luck killing time.

I don't usually play detective games in which you solve mysteries and such but this game, this game deserves all the praise that it can get.
I bought it a while back, went in blindly without knowing the story this game is based on, and to say the least I was astonished.
I suggest everyone to do it as well, it's more emmersive that way and you can really feel the struggle that the characters go through.
Try it for yourself, from here on out, these lips are sealed.

I should start this by saying sorry to all the -STRIVE- babies out there,
as a former one myself I have to say this is peak Guilty Gear,
moving forward the franchise had a downfall mechanically wise, this game is the best in that regard,
not as hard as the older iterations like Accent Core which is far more complex,
but not as easy as -STRIVE-, which simplified way too much, its right there in the middle, which is just perfect.

You can get more free stuff from fishing and from the in-game currency that you earn for playing matches,
like skins for the characters, voice actor insights about different things
or different system voices which is very cool,
in -STRIVE- you don't have these features and you'll need to pay for skins or just mod them in.

The game has very distinct and unique characters ranging from your typical shoto to a guy strapped on a bed,
also the lore is insane, you might want to check that out as well.
I won't spoil anything because it's a roller coaster that one must experience for themselves.

The soundtrack is a staple to the rock genre with some mellow songs here and there, with vocals by Naoki Hashimoto and
composed by the creator of the series Daisuke Ishiwatari, who have become two unforgettable legends in this branch of the FGC. The soundtrack is the reason why I got into this fighting game so I encourage everyone who likes this type of music to listen to it.

Graphics-wise this game pioneered the 2.5D genre in which you have 3D models but instead of letting the computer generate the animations the developers add smearing effects to the animations in order to look like a 2D sprite-based fighting game,
that is a really cool transition from 2D to 3D. Keep in mind the base game Xrd -SIGN- was released in an era where PS3 was still thriving, for it's age the game still holds up with the ones that are released today because of the distinct artstyle and animations. They may have improved the graphics in -STRIVE-,
but Xrd is still miles ahead when it comes to the mechanics.

The only negative things that i can say about this game is that not a lot of people play it anymore,
the only way to play if you don't have friends is either join a discord server either pray that there player-made lobbies
in your area, when you do find players to play against, most of the time you will have to wait in line to play because there is already someone battling them. The other negative aspect of the game is that it's pretty hard to get into if you're a newbie,
you'll just end up getting obliterated without being able to do a single input by some random guy who played since the dawn of time.

This is not only a problem with Xrd but with all the older entries of fighting games today,
so there's nothing really we can do, just endure the struggle.
This can also be a good thing because whilst playing regularly,
you will bump into familiar faces and improve alongside them, becoming as good as them, and ultimately befriending them.

Some personal input about the game:

To me this game is a lot of fun even though I lose most of the times because sometimes the matches turn into the most stupid button mashing, moves clashing, blitz wars, throw wars and other various repetitive inputs in order to see who can use less brain cells for big damage. I can't help but burst out laughing when these types of things happen.

I don't know if it's just me, but even though I lost the match,
I still find satisfaction if I hit that nasty combo that removes half his health bar,
which I practiced for hours, possibly winning a round.

It's probably one of the best air dasher fighting game/anime fighting game out there.
The genre is pretty niche to begin with,
to the point where communities for certain games included here went nearly extinct.

You have to be very determined if you want to succeed here, so keep that in mind.
If you're willing to lose a lot in order to improve, and possibly get mocked by trolls please consider playing this fighting game.

Great game, bad developer.
Doesn't require any third-party launcher to play.
Has the nymphs.
IT'S RAYMAN, OF COURSE ITS GOING TO BE GOOD.
The port is kind of neglected but works fine.
