New Vegas is easily the best of the best in the Fallout franchise. The story, the characters, the interactions, everything. This is one of those games that I consider almost perfect, it has everything.
Pros:
-The combat is incredible, almost every weapon feels great to use, guns and energy weapons have great sound design, you can feel the weight of your attacks with melee and unarmed.
-The setting is incredible, the mojave wasteland is full of interesting places and characters to interact with. Just in the strip alone I find new stuff every playthrough.
-The interactions are top notch, characters react to things that have happened in the past. They know who you are and what you have done in your playthrough. There's always new lines of dialogue to find in the game depending on the way you approach a quest.

Cons:
-I can only think of one, but it's a really big one: the compatibility. If you run fallout new vegas right after you buy it, it's very likely to crash after a few minutes of gameplay. The game isn't very compatible with newer operating systems and it can be very annoying to lose 15-20 minutes of progress because the game crashed and you didn't save. If you plan on playing vanilla, SAVE OFTEN. I started playing this game a long time ago and I never finished it because the crashes were really bad. It wasn't until last year when I decided to give the game another chance and now I love it. On the other hand, if you want the crashes to stop or at least be minimal, mods are the way to go. I personally run Viva New Vegas, it's a modlist you can download (almost) automatically with a sotware called Wabbajack. The site is super friendly and it guides you through the installation step by step. You can even disable some mods if you don't want all of them when you're done.

I got it in a sale, but I would have paid full price. The game is really good, great community, great classes.

Probably the best comedy game of all time.

This mod is pretty awesome, you have a large arsenal of weapons to choose from, and large waves of zombies coming at you, the only thing this game hasn't delivered yet, is a decent imac port, which i would appreciate a lot, when you play on a mac the game suddenly crashes and an error report is sent, i've seen a lot of other mac users who play this game finding it unplayable on their operative system.
The game is really good, try it, and if you have a mac, just wait for the mod creators to fix it.

It's a very nice game to play alone or with friends, it delivers a load of fun with a story, very nice multiplayer modes, and of course a lot of puns and jokes by the narrator, the game is very comic and has a lot of hidden stuff and levels, i only wish there were more active people to play with, but you can always invite your friends to play it with you, if they have it.

The new update made me so happy, thanks to it i could reunite with some old friends that used to play TF2 with me 2 years ago, i feel like this game has aged so well during its 10 years of life and i don't think it's in any way dying.

It's a very cool game, i like how you can do practically everything without spending real money
