I was playing as a medic on the ᛋᛋ team. I revived one of my squadmates only to hear a f*male voice thanking me. I busted my knuckles punching my desk out of anger.

This happened more than once.

There may be a decent game somewhere in there but it is buried under an avalanche of technical problems, very poor performance and absolute dogsh͏it maps.

In only 3 hours of playtime I've experienced 2 freezes, one of which forced me to restart my PC, resupply glitch (I could move but couldn't crouch, shoot, etc after resupplying), and some wild frame drops, even on lowest possible settings.

The maps are very poorly thought out, if at all. They're very small, cramped by restricted areas, barely allowing any flanking. I also took an RPG to the face literally 5 seconds after the start of the round. Spawnkilling with explosives is common, you can delete whole waves of enemy players with the push of a button and they can hardly do anything about it.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is just a yet another story of a developer who fought an uphill battle against the Unreal Engine and ultimately lost.

- Grandpa, who's that smiling old man on that picture you have on your desk?

- Well, Billy, that man is Stephen Paddock. Many, many years ago he shot 58 people from the window of the Mandalay Bay hotel in Vegas. It was the deadliest mass shooting commited by a single gunman in the U.S. history before the Great Purge.

- But why did he do that?

Both look at the camera.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is a first-person shooter game which some people mistakenly describe as "realistic". You can choose to play as an African-American soldier with a huge afro and rose-tinted glasses; an Australian trooper with a funny accent; a half-naked Vietnamese farmer with a full-body yakuza tattoo; or one of the "good" southern go͏oks who, some people tell me, were on our side (!?)

The game, as of the moment of writing this review (May 2019), is still in its beta stage and thus it is troubled with bugs, glitches, and performance problems which the devs struggle to fix in their impossible quest to master a game engine from 2006.

Some people say that this game "requires teamwork and communication". Those people usually pull fewer than 20 kills per round and end up in the middle of the scoreboard at best. This game is essentially a larger-scale Counter-Strike with more realistic gunplay. I usually pick a rifleman class (supposedly the worst) and run around like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥, not listening to my commander, not talking to anyone, and very often end up having the highest score as shown HERE[i.imgur.com]

There's more focus on historical accuracy here than in your average B*ttlefield game but the devs kinda made it clear from the start that this isn't supposed to be a hardcore tacticool sim so if you complain about realism on the game forums I kinda assume God blessed your parents by giving them an autistic child. If you want "the real 'Nam experience" I'd rather suggest ARMA 3 with The Unsung mod or LARPing.

"Lmao you're roasting this game but you've got over 700 hours on record". Well... The gunplay is rather satisfying and there is a nice selection of available weapons, some of which don't get much love in videogames (RP-46 or MAS-49 for example). RS2 is a very nice blend between realistic, teamwork-oriented shooters like Squad and arcade games like B*ttlefield V. The rounds take no longer than an hour and there's no penalty for leaving the game at any moment, I can drop people with one or two shots using guns that feel somewhat realistic, and I don't feel constricted by having to listen to a dumbass squad leader, triggering my anxiety attacks by being forced to talk to people, or wait a minute for a respawn miles away from the objective.

Most gamers either love it or hate it. Even though it is very flawed I can't with clear conscience say I dislike this game. It's definitely unique and it's not like we have any better choices. Recommending it is very difficult, however, as it appeals only to a very specific kind of spergs like myself. I'm giving it a thumbs up because there is no "neutral" option. Buy it on a sale or wait for a free weekend, which there are plenty of these days and see for yourself, I guess.

Special thanks to Gienek for buying me a steam key on a shady Russian website.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

For better or worse - ain't much changed compared to the previous game. Mud is a bit more fair and not as unforgiving. Graphics have been bumped up. Forests, much like Lena Dunham's pubes, are dense, soggy, and filled with fungi. The DLCs add a few cool vehicles and 2 maps, but that's about it.

Now, the game's fun as heck and all, but it really needs variety. All maps look very similar. Each one comes with its own set of challenges, but they all boil down to picking up wood from point A and delivering it through taiga to point B. Why not shake it up a little bit?

How about adding winter and snow maps?

How about letting me drive an OMON truck filled with gays and anti-Putin protesters to a penal colony?

How about letting me use MAZ-7310 for its original purpose and deliver an ICBM to Donbas to solve the Ukrainian crisis once and for all?

There is a lot of room for improvement and it's a shame devs didn't take the chance to make them with Mudrunner. So why the positive review? I am a special kind of autistic and this game really resonates with me. I love driving Russian trucks through mud and this is THE ultimate game for doing so. Original Spintires is one of 2 games I've ever backed on Kickstarter and I don't regret it.

I bought Mudrunner on sale for an equivalent of 15 trading cards and I recommend you do the same.

Pavel, mate, bring back tire chains for B-130. It's one of my favourite trucks and now it's useless. REEEEEEEE

Wow this game looks like s͏hit lmao 😂

Unapologetically Russian, this title has all the hallmarks of the classic eastern European school of game development: plenty of bugs, awkward English translation, very tedious looting, and clunky controls. You have to manually edit a few .ini files in order to get a proper modern resolution, fix a reloading glitch, or unlock the, otherwise VERY poor, camera. Sounds bad, huh?

Russian doesn't always mean bad.

You play as a middle-aged, muslim Soviet army vet, Ahmet, who does what he has to do in order to survive in an alternative reality Russia where Vladimir Putin Sr. preferred anal, and thus, never conceived the greatest president in the country's history. Following the collapse of the USSR, lacking an oppressive iron fist rule, Russians did what they tend to do in such scenarios - they devolved into chaos and anarchy, shooting each other for a can of sprats in tomato sauce.

The game oozes Stalker-ish gloomy slav atmosphere. Sneak into a rusty garage, break open a crate, retrieve a can of condensed milk and a Makarov pistol, blast some Adidas-wearing losers, and return to your small flat and your nagging wife in the most depressing neighborhood. Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!

The creamy filling.

What really sells this game for me is the combat. Do you fancy Jagged Alliance but hate turn based combat? Well, look no further, fam. Everything you do, be it moving, turning, aiming, shooting, takes a certain amount of time and timing is everything. Use tactics, positioning, correct weapons for the job, to make sure you land a shot before the enemy does. And, boy, one shot is all it takes to end it all. Come prepared. Make sure you have a few spare magazines, grenades in the quick-draw slots, and a medikit.

Now all this sounds scary but, contrary to what many people here claim, the game isn't all that difficult. It does, however, require a lot of patience. But when the last hostile gopnik hits the ground with a hole in his forehead, you really feel like you've done a good job.

OK but is this game worth my hard swindled shekels?

I have a particularily autistic taste in vidya. I realise this quirky game won't appeal to 99% of gamers out there, especially since it's very flawed. Wait for a sale. I bought this game with money I made selling just one foil steam trading card. It's unique enough to be worth a try. If you don't like it? Well, fu͏ck. Just add it to your long list of regrets you fu͏cking loser. However, if just like me you fell in love with the gameplay, do yourself a favor and check out 7,62, in my opinion an even better game from the same developer.

Btw, I know what you're thinking there, gamer, and yes, you can kill women. You can even buy one as a sex slave. You can't fu͏ck her because you're a faithful husband, but you can trade her for a pimped out SVD, though the real reward is knowing that she'll be fu͏cked to death against her will.
